ThI have read so many books on Jack the Ripper, I will rarely pick one up. However, I saw that this book doesn't focus on the Ripper but the victims. The author takes what is known about the women and puts it in a readable manner. I had no idea that not all of his victims were prostitutes. The "media" at the time changed the narrative to link the crimes. All the women endured horrible poverty and suffered from external forces. I recommend this one highly, even if you have read all there is to read on the Ripper....more

I have seen this case on Dateline, and I am still shocked on how the police plus the prosecution just ignored the real facts. They all were determined to railroad the husband Russ straight into prison without passing Go or collecting two hundred dollars. I bet to this day they all claim they didn't make any mistakes. Just gross. Excellent information on the case. It had to be hard to collect all of Pam's lies in one place. I hope she enjoys prison. Hopefully she is housed with Bertha, who enjoys slapping her around daily....more

Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history. He ushered so many people into the great beyond he cannot recall most of their names nor faces. Using medication available on the nursing floors, he injected patients with whatever was on hand, forcing them to code.
Charlie was hired and fired from more than 10 different hospitals and nursing homes. Not warning the next one of their suspicions. In most cases, hospitals shredded paperwork and covered up Cullen's crimes. This is not only the true story of a nurse that killed the patients he was supposed to care for, but how a healthcare system placed money over patient's lives....more

Jones is finally arrested in 1984 and her madness is revealed to the world. Amidst the trial, you learn how the hospital shredded paperwork and covered its tracks. Five new murder charges were filed in 2017. This woman is evil. I hope hell is extra toasty and painful....more

Cults recruit more educated and high-powered career people than you would think. One way they successfully recruit is by having team building programs that employers use. I always knew my employers had ulterior motives behind those exercises. I am dropping someone the next time I am made to do the "trust fall". ...more

There has been This is the true tragic case of Ann Burr, 8 years-old, who disappeared in the middle of the night from her home in the summer of 1961. There has been speculation over the years if she was the first victim of Ted Bundy, who would have been 14 at the time. Bundy remained defiant until the end. Never fully claiming all his victims and spinning lies all the way to the electric chair.
Going by what is known about serial killers, I don't think she was killed by Bundy. He was still in the peeping in windows and killing animals stages. Once they work up to murder, that is what drives them from that point. I don't see him going back to just peeping for years until he kicks off his serial killing spree.
Ann's case is still open, even though half the case file is now missing. Her parents died never knowing what happened to their little girl....more

He is the reason public stoning should be brought back. I would pay good money to throw a boulder in his face. In 1928, Albert convinced Mr. and Mrs. Budd to let him take their daughter, Grace, on an outing. I mean, why not let your daughter go out alone with a non-related grown man. She never came home again. Six years later, Grace's case is finally solved. What Albert Fish did to Grace Budd, and perhaps fifteen other young children, caused experts to pronounce him the most deranged human being they had ever seen....more

Trolling personal ads and phone lines she chose men that were of low intelligence to control. She assaulted them, emotionally tortured them, and accused them of being pedophiles. Sheila would make recordings of her boyfriends being forced to confess to all kinds of deviant activity. She terrorized her neighbors, the police, and basically anyone she thought she could. Sheila is a boiling pot of hot mess. Two of the men disappear. Following up on a report the police go to her farm and see piles of things on fire. They see a human leg bone with tissue on it in one of the piles. Later convicted of two murders (couldn't prove the third) she would be deemed sane in a court of law. I don't know if I agree. Sheila was off her damn rocker. She claimed to be an avenging angel sent by God to kill all the pedophiles. Regardless she belongs locked up, away from society....more

He left nothing, but destruction in his wake. Milton was sentenced to death. However it was overturned to life in prison. Hopefully he dies behind bars because he will kill again....more

He is scouring the internet for female victims to take their money and their lives. His victims silently wait in barrels by the lake for the long arm of justice.
Douglas did a great job of putting most of the facts together. He follows John Robinson's early life and the white collar crimes. Then ending with the horrific murders of women he met off the internet. Douglas tended to go off subject to explain things that really didn't need to be explained. This book is a cautionary tale to the dark side of internet dating....more

He killed his victims over time, not all at once. The Houston PD dropped the ball on this one. I think they chose to look the other way until too many boys came up missing. Corl usually chose trouble, at risk young males. There is also some documentation that Corl was involved in sex trafficking too....more
