TThirty years ago, a Vietnam vet nicknamed Agent Orange went on a murderous rampage in the town of Morgan. The military had to intercede to kill him. The problem is he didn't stay dead. No matter how many times he is killed, Agent Orange reappears for more blood and bodies. Finally, the government walled off Morgan and the surrounding towns to keep him inside. However, how do you keep a killer inside the walls when he has no fresh victims? Apparently the solution is to kidnap Americans and toss them inside against their will. Eleven people go to sleep and wake up in the kill zone. There is no time to think, only time to run.
I loved this book. It was like what would happen if Jason was real and loose in the world, but without the awkward teenage sex scenes. Agent Orange is a homegrown nightmare. Recommend for horror readers that don't mind body parts flying and heads on stakes for lawn decorations....more

The game is simple. Spend a week in an abandoned amusement park playing the ultimate game of hide and go seek without being caught. The prize is enough money to change your life. Fourteen contestants are locked behind massive gates with one goal in mind....make it to sundown. Mack has been hiding her whole life. She knows she can win. However, the game is rigged. There is no winner in this game. Only screams from the hunted as the hunter finds them two by two.
There was no need for romance in this book. I mean, they are being picked off one by one. Not exactly the atmosphere for budding love. I wish horror writers would stop this nonsense. It is not believable....more

They find a hidden map leading to waterfalls and a small town on a hiking trail in the woods behind the cabin. Along the way, a bushy bearded stranger attempts to hold them at gun point. The couples race to the small town for help, only to find it abandoned. They can't leave the town because a strange fog and shadow creature is blocking all exits. There we are subjected to weird death loops, ghosts running around town, and some mystery Narnia tree with a door. Which there is never an explanation for. Nope, not one hint. The ending left me just as clueless as what was behind the Narnia tree door....more

Crap, this book was terrifying. Holloway wrote his pants off and weaved one hell of a story. The ending was spine tinkling. I demand a second book!...more

This book is bloody fantastic! There were witches, monsters, killer rivers, and all kinds of madness. The action was relentless. I was literally yelling out loud. Highly recommend....more

This was one horror filled ride from beginning to the end. It is told from different points of view as so much is going on around the town. Especially when Masters arrives on the scene. Recommend!...more

One night he notices the tower red light blinking and his neighbors stop as if in a trance. Something sinister is afoot in Woodberry.
I liked the plot and characters. It was a good read, however I found it basic horror. Nothing really sticks out to give it that extra push. Didn't love, but didn't hate it. So I will give it 3 finger guns, champ....more

UFelix Teigland and his best friend Prentiss are traveling on Siberia's Kolyma Highway to the coldest town on Earth to hopefully shoot a documentary. Upon arriving there, they find the town empty. It looks like the residents stopped in the middle of whatever they were doing and walked into the forest. All except one little girl who appears to be cationic due to shock. They hear something huge moving around in the forest. Shadows are closing in and it's snarling. As they make their escape, it follows them in the dark, lonely Kolyma Highway.
Holy hell what a ride man. Now that is how you terrify the crap out of your readers. I lost count how many times I was yelling out loud like the characters could hear me. I would rate this a 4.5 if they would let me. My only complaint was Felix. I wanted to smack him around for all the stupid decisions he was making. I am going to have nightmares about reindeer now. I hated the ending of this book. That is why it only got four stars. Immanuelle is better than I. I would have left all their butts to die. I am petty like that. I might have saved my man depending on how I felt about that day....more

However, is it really fair to slap a label on him because technically the victims were not victims nor human. Any way you slice it, Dread’s Hand, Alaska is a place to avoid. The locals are unfriendly, the one-room hotel owner's father is stabby, and there is something inhuman stalking people in the snow.
