On a lovely evening, 2 teens decide to break into a lab to free the animals. Awesome right? Unfortunately, they released the animals with a new strain of rabies that can be transmitted to humans. Lyssa, Greek word for rabies, is now loose in a small town and the race for a cure is on. One scratch, bite, or sexual relations can make you infected. As the residents are dying off in rapid numbers, will it stay contained in the city limits?
I found this book interesting because of the rabies angle. While it is pretty good, it is slow moving in some parts. I felt the ending was lacking and rushed. Overall, a good read....more

Choices put your life on the trajectory it's on, good or bad. But what if you could live a life based on a different choice, would you? Jason Dessen is about to face this decision one night walking home when he is abducted at gunpoint by a masked man. After being injected with unknown substances, he wakes up on a gurney in an unfamiliar lab. These people seem to know him. However, he has no idea who they are. In fact, everything in the world he finds himself in is wrong. Jason has to figure out where he is and how to get back home.
This was a weird one. Overlooking the science, the concept was great. I would have loved to have explored more of Jason's alternative timelines. It got strange trying to keep track of how he was multiplying like Gremlins. At one point I was like, for god's sake, stop feeding Jason after midnight. I found it to be a fun read....more

I liked the plot and characters. It was a good read, however I found it basic horror. Nothing really sticks out to give it that extra push. Didn't love, but didn't hate it. So I will give it 3 finger guns, champ....more

The only thing that bumped it up to a 4 star was because of the ending. I did not see that one coming. I think it would have been better to have grownup narrators as well. Maybe one of the nursing staff. Gran herself? I just felt it was missing that little extra that would have made it a real page turner. Overall, it was a good read and I would recommend it....more
