She is more entrenched with The Visitor to the point where she barely has any human emotions left. This time around, we get a glimpse of other timelines and alternate versions of people in those timelines, which is fun. As usual, this read is a bloody good time. A wonderful followup to the first installment....more

Ruling by fear, the new master vampire is throwing her fangs and strength around. It is up to Rachel and her friends to save the city from itself again. Okay, this is the Rachel I know and love. I don't know what was going on in the last book, but glad it is not crossing over. Still, the lack of Ivy and Al was a downer. Still a great addition to the series....more

The hair I made the grave mistake of reading this in the dark. At about 40% in, I randomly hear tapping on my window. I look out and no one is there. The hair on the back of my head was standing up. Then there was a loud bang on my door. Y'all I screamed and went running to the bathroom. My cellphone starts ringing. My neighbor was knocking on my door to return some containers she had borrowed. I almost died in a Tupperware return. So yeah, this book will scare the crap out of you and make you question every noise outside your windows....more

Where the White Rabbits are hunted for sport in a nightmare landscape full of murderous creatures. Did I absolutely love this book? Yes I did. I want a book two, that is how much I loved it. The ending is fabulous, but leaves a lot unanswered. Hence, why I am calling for another book!...more

A book has to grab me fast to make me hang in there. So I struggled for a few chapters because it was all about fishing. I mean, it is The Fisherman. Is a giant fish going to jump out of the river and eat people? Zombie fishes? Then the story unfolded and off we went all the way to the end, holding my breath. It makes the question of what would you do if you could get your loved back from the dead? Could you sacrifice your life? Become something not human? Would it be worth it?
Excellent plot (besides the fishing) heart pounding moments. However, not one zombie fish! Highly recommend....more

Rabbits is a secret underground game. You probably never heard of it except in whispers or on the dark web. No one knows who runs the game. In fact, you don't even know you're a player. All you have to do is see or hear the phrase "The Door is Open" to know a new game has begun. If you can find the patterns, uncover the clues, and can open your mind, the game might pick you. Dangers are everywhere. You might lose your life. However, the winner gets his/her heart's desire.
The last two games, something has been amiss. Now entering the 11th round since its conception, players are going missing. Bodies are being found murdered. The lines of reality are being blurred. K has to win the game before our world comes to an end. Or maybe it all is a figment of K's imagination.

He learns as a kid he saw the commercials for real. A group of kids sitting around the breakfast table slurping down Fruit Fun. However, instead of fruit flavored bits, the cereal is real miniature children. Petey's father witnesses him almost being pulled into the commercial.
Seems Fruit Fun is back along with Berry Bunny. Petey and his three friends manage to get pulled into the commercial and become trapped. Can Petey escape the bunny before he becomes breakfast fuel with 13 different vitamins in it?
I agree with Mellick on the 80s kids thing. We had weird commercials, cartoons, clothes, hairstyles, and toys. We rocked weirdness like no other decade....more

A few weeks after arriving, Christopher enters the woods and disappears for six days. Then he is found dirty, wandering the streets with no knowledge of what happened to him, except that "the nice man" saved him. Upon his return, the nice man who only Christopher can hear insists that he builds a treehouse in the woods before Christmas. So he enlists his friends to build the treehouse of all treehouse. Unfortunately, the treehouse is a portal to another place that will bring hell on Earth.
That is the basic rundown. The plot is way more complicated than that. It is hard to explain it all in one review post since there is so much going on. My only complaint is that it is so long. Did we really need over 700 pages, Chbosky? Regardless, this book is flipping awesome. If I am wrong, God let me hit a deer....more

Even worse he is now her submissive and mating partner.
No idea what I just read, but I love it! I need more of this in my life. Only Mellick can bring us cannibal candy creatures wrapped up in a delicious love story of when opposite species attract. I think Mellick answered that age old question: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop ...more

I don't know why Christina was so upset with the real murderer. She was only killing perverts. Taking out the trash is what I call it. Sure, okay she is not of this world, needs to brush her teeth, and learn people skills, but she has a pretty cool lake. A good, short horror read.

I thWell I guess I will be in the minority once again. I loved this book. My favorite part was when we visited the ladies and where their minds were. I think King dialed down the violence. He could have shown a more reality based world when all the women fell asleep. It would be utter mayhem. Men would be killing each other to kidnap women to commit crimes against their bodies. If you really pause and think about the things that could happen to you in this position it's horrifying. I really enjoyed this story. It is a book only King could tell.
