The real question is why these women dealt with them. I was not disappointed with his death. He needed more bullets. I love the bonds of friendship and family these women had. The struggles of being a lesbian, Jordan went through, were sad. The shame and the hiding because in those times it was considered deviant behavior. A wonderful read....more

This is a parallel timeline of Caroline Parcewell present day and Nella who sells poisons from her apothecary shop many moons ago. Honestly, I would have preferred to have this book be all about Nella and her tasty, deadly poisons. All Caroline did was cry over her cheating husband. Like girl, we get it. Channel your inner Nella and serve that husband a poisoned meal with a smile on your face. If you can get past the pity party, it was an okay read....more

Especially if I was slowly being eaten alive by some strange disease that made me grow extra parts. I wouldn't have been listening to nobody. I was a hellraiser in high school, so maybe it is my inner rebel talking. Loved the book and some characters. Wish we would have had more info on the Tox and its origins. Solid read if you can suspend belief for awhile....more

On this journey back in time, we are told the story of Titanic from revolving viewpoints. From a first class passenger on down to a member of the crew, we are a witness to the courageous acts and the fear that grips the dying. I love that the stories didn't stop there. The ones that survive that horrifying night, their stories carry on. We stay with our survivors all the way to the end. It was a beautiful, sometimes heartbreaking read. Bring your tissues!...more

We are following a very pregnant Natalie who has been bitten in a kitchen standoff and her best friend Dr. Ramola "Rams" Sherman who is recruited to get them to safety. As Natalie fights for her life and her unborn child, we are taken on a desperate odyssey in a nightmare landscape of survival.
Relentless and heart pounding from start to finish. This book is quick to remind you that even though you may survive, there are no happy endings to be had here. Recommend!...more

Also, this marks the time Henry VII finally kicks the bucket and probably ends up in hell. Which of course brings Henry VIII to the throne. Henry becomes a one-man wrecking ball, destroys his own country and beheads a few wives. The curse lives on. No male child survives yet to become an heir. Poor Margaret has spent the last few books in utter ruin, I was happy to see her prosper. Then Henry of course just like his raggedy father becomes a tyrant that ends with Margaret's head on the block. Sis couldn't catch a break. Excellent read....more

I really enjoy the plot and twists. The rapid changing character viewpoints made the tension ramp up. The ending was unexpected. Recommend!...more

This was a good ghost story. Bessie's life short as it was full of heartache. Recommend for the lovers of a ghost tale with no horror involved....more
