UFelix Teigland and his best friend Prentiss are traveling on Siberia's Kolyma Highway to the coldest town on Earth to hopefully shoot a documentary. Upon arriving there, they find the town empty. It looks like the residents stopped in the middle of whatever they were doing and walked into the forest. All except one little girl who appears to be cationic due to shock. They hear something huge moving around in the forest. Shadows are closing in and it's snarling. As they make their escape, it follows them in the dark, lonely Kolyma Highway.
Holy hell what a ride man. Now that is how you terrify the crap out of your readers. I lost count how many times I was yelling out loud like the characters could hear me. I would rate this a 4.5 if they would let me. My only complaint was Felix. I wanted to smack him around for all the stupid decisions he was making. I am going to have nightmares about reindeer now. Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. There weren't a lot of action or things going on. I got bored halfway through. I felt Malfi spent too much time trying to be descriptive instead of bringing in the horror factor...more

Told through the eyes of Joey Peacock, who has spent the last forty years as a teenage vampire. Sleeping with his clan in the subway tunnels during the days and hitting up the discotheques at night, we follow Joey in his daily life. We partake in his feeding rituals, how he survives, and rules he has to play by to keep his head attached. Until one night on a subway, he sees a group of undead children. They charm a man and make him follow them off the train. Joey is stunned and follows them. Turning children is forbidden. Leaving them alone to their devices without instructions will get you the final death. War is coming, and the blood will flow.
For a vampire book, this rocked. I loved the main character and found myself laughing at his antics. The end simply blew my mind. I was not expecting that. Wow!! Highly recommend!...more

I hated the ending of this book. That is why it only got four stars. Immanuelle is better than I. I would have left all their butts to die. I am petty like that. I might have saved my man depending on how I felt about that day....more

That is the basic rundown. The plot is way more complicated than that. It is hard to explain it all in one review post since there is so much going on. My only complaint is that it is so long.
