I love Kelley Armstrong's writing so I had a great feeling about this one and it did not disappoint. I loved getting to know Elena and the rest of her pack. There was plenty of excitement throughout the story. I listened to the audiobook and thought that the narrator did a fantastic job with this book.

I tend to enjoy paranormal romances so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. I adored this book! Misery's marriage to the Alpha Werewolf, Lowe, is arranged by her powerful father. Tensions between Vampyres and Weres are high so she doesn't exactly fit in right away. I loved watching Misery and Lowe get to know each other and the underlying mystery kept me guessing until the end. This may be my favorite Ali Hazelwood book to date!

I had a fantastic time with this book! I really enjoyed the first book in this series, A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon, and was excited to get the chance to read this newest installment. This book takes place shortly after the events of the first book but features a different pair of characters. The book could be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading the series in order if possible since the events of the prior book play a role in this installment.
Calladia and Astaroth are enemies. At least they were enemies until Calladia, who is a witch, finds the demon Astaroth suffering from amnesia and appearing to be rather helpless. She decides to help him and as they join together on a quest, they both find that they are drawn to one another. Astaroth doesn’t remember much of his recent years and he seems like a whole new demon. As they both discover what really happened, they learn that things are more serious than they could have imagined.
I really liked the characters. Calladia and Astaroth were wonderful characters. Calladia had some pretty big issues with her mother to deal with and Astaroth’s mother was a bit of a surprise. I liked these two as a couple and thought that they had a lot of chemistry. It was obvious just how much they both cared for one another and I couldn’t wait to see them figure out a way to make things work.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Helen Laser did a wonderful job with this story. I loved the voices that she used for the various characters which really helped to bring the story to life. I thought that she was able to add just the right amount of emotion to her reading to take this story to the next level. I do believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of this entertaining story.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book to others. I found this to be a very entertaining romance featuring wonderful characters. I loved that both had some extra abilities and seemed to understand and support each other. I hope to read more of this talented author’s work very soon!

This was great! I had such a great time with this creepy story set in a town stuck in 1994. I found this book almost impossible to set aside once I started reading and couldn’t wait to find out what was really behind the things happening on Clifford Island. Willow comes to the island after finding a clue in her deceased son’s room. She hasn’t been heard from for a while either so her brother comes to try to get to the bottom of things.
We see things from various points of view during the story which let the reader see just how strange this island really was. The descriptions in this book were incredibly well-done so I could clearly envision this town where OJ Simpson chase plays on repeat because everyone is stuck in the past. I was eager to find out why they went to such lengths and what was really going on in this strange community.
I thought that this cast of narrators did an amazing job with this book. They were able to bring the characters to life which took the story to the next level. There are several sections of the book that consisted of interviews which were especially well done. I do believe that the narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.
I would recommend this book to others. I had such a great time with this creepy tale set on an incredibly strange island. I thought that this was a fantastic debut novel and cannot wait to read more of this author’s work in the future.

I thought that this was a wonderful conclusion to a series that I have thoroughly enjoyed. It was wonderful to finally see Macey and Max together, although I felt like Macey was justified in being upset with her father for not being a part of her life for the past 13 years. I felt terrible for Macey at times because it seemed like she was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and the man she loved was just out of reach. I have a tough time putting this book down once I started reading it.
Nicholas Iscariot is in Chicago trying to get his hands on a couple of artifacts that would give him more power. Macey, Chas, and Max will do everything in their power to make sure that does not happen. This book had many emotional ups and downs for the characters and things looked desperate at times. There was plenty of action to keep things very interesting and there were quite a few moments when I wasn’t sure how things would work out for this group of characters that I have grown to love.
I would definitely recommend this series to others. I would recommend reading the series in order since the events from previous books come into play in this installment. I hope to read more of Colleen Gleason’s work very soon.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. After loving Cogman’s Invisible Library series, I was eager to pick up her newest book. I have not read The Scarlet Pimpernel so I cannot tell you how this book compares to the source material but I can say that this was a delightful tale. Set during the French Revolution (but with vampires), Eleanor joins a group that works to save people they feel are unjustly punished. I found this story to be quite exciting and I loved that it kept me guessing until the very end. I am so glad that I decided to give this book a try.
Eleanor is a great character. She gets the opportunity to work on this mission due to her uncanny likeness to a well-known individual. I loved that she is able to think quickly and handle impossible situations rather competently. There were a few times that I was worried about how things would work out for Eleanor and the others that she was working with. I liked the fact that this book was set during an alternate French Revolution and enjoyed what the vampires added to the story.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Georgia Maguire did a wonderful job with the story. I liked the various voices that she used and thought that she did a fantastic job of adding just the right amount of emotion to her reading. I felt like she brought the story to life through her reading which only added to my overall enjoyment of the story.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a very unique and exciting story that was filled with a cast of great characters. I cannot wait to read more of this promising series!

This was okay. I didn’t fall in love with the story but I also didn’t hate it. The premise was promising and there is a lot to like about the book but I didn’t feel any kind of chemistry between Cassie and Frederick. I really need to feel that chemistry when I pick up a romance or it just isn’t as enjoyable. This was an enjoyable enough read but it was missing that extra spark that would have taken it to the next level.
Frederick is a vampire who hopes to find a roommate. He has been out of commission for the past 100 years after a friend’s joke and hopes that a new roommate can help him acclimate to the modern world. Cassie is in need of a new place to live and can’t resist checking out the ad that seems too good to be true. Frederick turns out to be a very polite and kind roommate, although he is rather old-fashioned. Of course, he does eventually have to share his secret with Cassie.
I listened to the audiobook and thought Gilli Messer did an excellent job with the narration. I believe that this was the first time that I have listened to her work but I must say that I was quite impressed. I liked the voices that she used for the various characters and thought that she had a very pleasant voice. I am certain that her performance only added to my overall enjoyment.
I think that a lot of readers will like this book even more than I did. This is a rather low-angst story with a really interesting premise. I wouldn’t hesitate to read more of this author’s work in the future.

This was an entertaining novella! It was pretty short and I am not sure how much it added to the larger series, but it was a fun way to spend some time on a weekend morning. This story features Max Denton, who is Macey’s father. In the last story to feature this character, Raging Dawn, we met Max as he fell for Savina. It seems that they have since gone their own way since that story.
Savina goes to a Christmas party with her fiance hoping to acquire an amulet. Max shows up a bit later in disguise trying to get his hands on the same thing. There was an interesting group of characters at this party and I had a good time watching Max and Savina dance around each other. This isn’t as much action as I would have hoped but it was entertaining nonetheless. I thought this was worth the read, but I didn’t feel it added much to the overall series.

I am so glad that I finally took the time to listen to this audiobook! I liked Abby a lot and I was totally invested in the mystery of the story. I really liked seeing Abby use her gift to help others. I was hooked by this story right away and couldn’t wait to see how things would work out. I found this to be a very entertaining mystery.
Abby works as a psychic and her predictions are eerily accurate. When she shares a few things she has seen with her date, she doesn’t realize that he is a detective. Before she knows it she is in the middle of an investigation. I like the idea of the budding romance with the detective, Dutch, and I thought that the other supporting characters were very well done.
I thought that Elizabeth Michaels did a great job with the narration of this audiobook. I thought that she did a great job of bringing Abby’s character to life. I found her voice to be very pleasant and I had no problem listening to the book for extended periods of time. I do believe that her narration increased my enjoyment of the story.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a really fun cozy and I really liked the way that Abby’s abilities helped to solve the mystery. I would love to read more of this entertaining story in the future.

I really liked this story a lot! After reading the first book in the Macey Gardella & Max Denton series, I was eager for more so I decided to jump into the first book that features Max, Macey’s father. This is a novella/short book but I thought it told a very big story. I was hooked right away and found it next to impossible to stop reading.
Max is a venator, or vampire hunter, and I thought that he was a fantastic character. He has been through a lot. When he was younger, vampires murdered his wife so he sent his daughter away to keep her safe. He is paired up to work with Savina, the daughter of the man he blames for his wife’s death, which goes over as well as you would think. I liked seeing him in action but I also liked seeing him let his guard down just a bit. Savina is pretty amazing herself. She is not a venator but has still joined the fight and hopes to clear her father’s name in the process. I thought that these two made a fantastic team.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. This is the second book in the Macey Gardella & Max Denton series, which is a spin-off of The Gardella Vampire Hunters series. I think that this story could work as a stand-alone but I would suggest reading the series in order if at all possible. I cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series.

I liked this book quite a bit! I didn’t like it quite as much as I liked the first book that featured Macey but it was still an excellent read. This is the third book in the Macey Gardella & Max Denton series which is a spin-off of The Gardella Vampire Hunters Series. I would recommend reading at least the first book featuring Macey, Roaring Midnight, before diving into this one since this story picks up shortly after the events of that book.
Macey is working for Al Capone rather unwillingly. Spending time with him has proven to be worse than imagined but she needs to keep those she cares about safe. I must say that the parts of the book that involved Al Capone were my least favorite of the book. Macey does get back in touch with the other venators, or vampire hunters, which is where the story shined for me.
I would not hesitate to recommend this series to others. I found this installment exciting with enough action to keep things very interesting. There were a few surprises that kept me glued to the pages. I cannot wait to see what will happen next in the series!

I really enjoyed this book! A few years ago, I read the first five books in The Gardella Vampire Hunters series and loved them. As soon as I discovered that there was a spin-off series set during the Jazz Age, I made a mental note to circle back and read those books just as soon as I had the opportunity. Since I have a bit of flexibility in my reading schedule and a trial membership to Kindle Unlimited, it seemed that this would be the perfect time to get started reading these books.
Macey is the many times great granddaughter of Victoria from the initial 5 books and knows little about her family. She lives a simple life of working as a librarian during the day, renting her own room, and occasionally going out with friends in the evening. She comes across a book about venators (vampire hunters) and soon a whole new world opens up to her. She soon needs to make a decision about whether she wants to continue with life as she knew it before or if she wants to join the ranks of those fighting evil.
I liked Macey right away, probably not as much as Victoria, but that’s okay. This book was exciting and there was enough action to keep me glued to the pages. I felt bad for Macey because the situation that she found herself in was not of her making. The book did have the beginning of what I suspect will develop into a full fledged love triangle but I could be wrong. The 20’s Chicago setting was well done and I love the fact that Al Capone himself played a role in the story.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. You could probably start with this book since it is the first in the spin off series but I would recommend starting with the first book in the original series, The Rest Falls Away, if at all possible. Trust me, they are great and you don’t want to miss them! I cannot wait to read more of this exciting series!
Initial Thoughts Oh, this was fun! I really enjoyed the first 5 books in this series and have wanted to read this spin off series for several years. I liked the 20's setting and enjoyed getting to know this new cast of characters, along with one more familiar one. There was plenty of action and some twists that kept me glued to the pages. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

This was fun! I have been having a great time working my way through the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries series and I was not disappointed by this installment. This is the sixth book in the series and while it could probably be read as a stand-alone the series is perhaps best read in order since the relationships between the characters have evolved over the course of the series.
Verity and Ellis try to take a little vacation by going away on the Sugarland Express. Things get more complicated when Frankie talks her into tagging along, not to mention her pesky ex-fiance, a ghost train, and a bit of murder. Verity has plenty of things to worry about not just in the real world but also on the ghostly plane. I had fun watching Verity try to figure everything out and I loved the fact that the mystery was able to keep me guessing.
Tavia Gilbert continues to do an excellent job with the narration of this series. I am a big fan of her narration and I really do enjoy all of the various voices that she uses in reading the story to help bring it to life. She adds just enough excitement and emotion to the narration to keep me glued to my headphones. She has become the voice of Verity and I couldn’t imagine experiencing this story in any other way.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. This is a fun paranormal cozy mystery with characters that are easy to love and a mystery that kept me guessing I cannot wait to read the next book in this entertaining series.

I thought that this was a fun story! It has been a little more than a year since I listened to the previous book in this series and I really enjoyed getting back to it. Verity has her work cut out for her once again with a new mystery and a frustrating ghostly sidekick. I had such a good time with this one that I was able to listen to the entire book in less than a day.
Verity receives a call for help from a historic home, now a museum, but when the police arrive there is nobody there. Her ghostly sidekick, Frankie, is busy turning her home into a gambling paradise for all the neighborhood ghosts. To top it off, a society group wants her to join their ranks and her boyfriend’s mother is out to cause trouble. When a dead body shows up, Verity thinks it is more than just an accident and wants to get to the bottom of things but she may find out the answers to a few other mysteries before she is done. I really liked all of the characters in this book and especially enjoyed what we learned and some of the developments involving some of the ghosts.
Tavia Gilbert does a fantastic job with the narration of this series. The voices that she uses for the various characters are all very distinctive and help to bring the characters to life. I thought that she added a lot of excitement and some humor to her reading which helped to make this a very pleasant listening experience.
I would definitely recommend this series to others. This is the fifth book in the series which could work as a stand-alone if necessary but the series is best when read in order if at all possible. I really enjoyed trying to figure out this mystery with Verity and was pleased to find a few surprises along the way. I look forward to reading more of this series very soon.

So I thought this book was the first book in a series but it turns out it’s actually the second book in The Crown’s Wolves series. Oops. It turned out okay though since it read perfectly fine as a stand-alone even though there were a few loose ends that I am sure will be picked up again later in the series. I found this to be a delightful read and was hooked by the story right away. Ky and Vivi were great characters and I was eager to see how things would work out for them.
Ky and Vivi were both held captive and kept under the influence of others. They formed a lasting connection while in a very bad situation and drew strength from each other. They really were perfect for each other and seemed to be exactly what the other needed. Ky and his brothers make quite the team and I thought it was great to see them work together. The story had quite a bit of action in addition to the romance and I loved the fact that the story took a few turns that I didn’t see coming.
I would not hesitate to recommend this book to fans of paranormal romance. The romance in the book was really solid and I really liked the characters from the start. I thought that the magic system was very well done and somewhat unique. Now that I have read this book, I want to go back and tackle the first book in the series. I will definitely be looking out for more of this author’s work in the future.

This was just okay for me. Ava was turned into a vampire by her mother who keeps her locked in her room, stealing her magic whenever she can. Kaye lost her mother on the same night that Ava became a vampire and blames Ava for her death. Ava turns to Kaye for help when trying to escape her home and Kaye ends up learning that not all vampires are evil.
Unfortunately, I never was completely invested in this story. Even when things were going horribly wrong for the characters, I just didn’t feel a whole lot for them. I was quite curious about how things would work out for the characters. It was a nice enough tale but ultimately rather forgettable.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that the narrators did a good job with the story. I believe that this is the first time that I have listened to Bailey Carr’s and Mary Helen Gallucci’s narration and I was impressed by their work. I believe that their narration only improved my reading experience.
I think that a lot of readers will enjoy this one more than I did. I would encourage anyone who thinks the story sounds interesting to give it a try.

I had fun with this book! I thought that it wrapped up the series really well and had all of the action, drama, and romance that I have come to expect in the series. It was so easy to slip back into Tansy’s world and watch her take on those who wish her harm with the help of her friends, and family. I found this book incredibly entertaining and had a hard time putting it down once I started reading.
Tansy and her friends have their work cut out for them in this book. Vaughn’s father is in the clutches of Tansy’s evil mother, also known as The Executioner, and they need to find them before they get the chance to get married in Vegas. It was great to see Tansy work with her friends to try to save the day. Most of the characters had some kind of special ability so it was always exciting to see them in action. I really appreciated watching Tansy and Vaughn grow closer over the course of the series and thought that they seemed really solid together in this installment. I love that this book took a few twists and turns that I did not see coming which made for a very entertaining read.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a great conclusion to the trilogy and I have enjoyed each book. I love the blend of witches, vampires, and werewolves in these stories and appreciate the fact this is a lighter read. I wouldn’t hesitate to read more of this author’s work in the future.

If you needed any proof that I will read just about any genre, I would submit this review as evidence to support that fact. I think that it is pretty well known that I am a rather eclectic reader but there are a few genres that I don’t read all that often. This book is not my normal kind of read but I decided to try it nonetheless. And you know what…I liked it!
Mina is sent to Malachi by her father to be used however he wishes. I liked watching Mina and Malachi warm up to each other and when Wolf, then Rylan enter the scene things get turned up another notch. It was great watching them work together to try to outsmart Mina’s father. I did feel like the group had an emotional bond in addition to the off-the-charts chemistry. This is definitely a spicier read. To put it plainly, there is a lot of sex in this book. Even more, than you are thinking. But you know what…it is well written and I thought that the sex helped to advance the plot so I think it works. I liked the story overall.
This isn’t a book that will work for everyone but if reverse harem vampire smut sounds like your kind of thing then you should definitely give it a try. I wouldn’t hesitate to try more of this author’s work in the future.

Imagine this: You are attacked by a werewolf-like creature on a dark road one night and feel like you might be changing. What would you do? This is precisely the situation that Rory is faced with in this entertaining book and I have to say that I would have made many of the same decisions that she did. On top of the physical changes, Rory is also dealing with quite a few other things. It is really a wonder that she remained sane through it all. I am so glad that I gave this book a try.
I was hooked by this book right away and it held my interest until the very end. I have read a lot of werewolf stories but I really liked the fact that this one was different. The sense of humor woven through the story was a very welcome addition to the story. I really liked Rory and could relate to her as she dealt with a loss of control. The romance in the story was well done and I also appreciated the relationship between Rory and her twin sister.

Lane is a hybrid, half sun fae and half moon fae. This is not looked upon favorably by others so she left her fae home to start a detective agency near Las Vegas. Along with her sisters, she takes on a variety of jobs to get by. Things get a little crazy when she comes across a bag of stolen sun shards during the course of a job and the stakes end up being higher than she could have ever imagined. She must sacrifice everything to save the home and people that she left behind.
I thought that this book was a whole lot of fun. Lane was a fantastic character and I loved seeing her work through one situation after another. There were a lot of discoveries made during the course of this story and I enjoyed all of the surprises that popped up along the way. The mystery kept me guessing and there was enough action to keep me glued to the pages. I liked Teddy and thought that he was a great match for Lane.
