It was great to see Helena, Jayden, Colt and all of the key character for one final installment. The mystery kept me guessing and I had a few chuckles over Helena's antics. All in all, this made for a fun read! I listened to the audiobook and thought that Johanna Parker did an excellent job with this story.

This was a fun read! Some parts of the story were rather funny and the mystery kept me guessing. Pregnancy and childbirth play a prominent role in this story and I thought it was rather entertaining to imagine a group of hugely pregnant women playing detective. I am so glad that I took a chance and decided to give this book a try.
Alice and her boyfriend, Joe, have just moved to town with their dog, Helen, and are due to have a baby very soon. They enroll in a childbirth class and not only does one student go into labor during the first session but a man dies in the shop downstairs and they are all considered suspects. Alice wants to make friends and what could be a better way to bond than solving a murder with some of the women she has met at childbirth class?
I listened to the audiobook and thought Kitty Kelly did a great job with this story. This is only the second time that I have listened to this narrator’s work and I have been impressed both times. She did a great job with the more comical moments in this story which helped to bring the story to life. I liked the voices that she used for the various characters in this story and thought that she brought just the right amount of emotion to her reading. I believe that her performance added to my overall enjoyment of this story.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought that there was a nice balance of humor and mystery in this book and I loved the fact that it kept me guessing until the end. I plan to pick up the second book just as soon as it becomes available.

This was entertaining! I enjoyed the first book in this series so I was eager to pick up this installment. I love a good mystery and the fact that these mysteries deal with possible cryptid situations only added to the appeal. I was hooked by this mystery early in the story and couldn’t wait to see if Bigfoot was really what was responsible for the murders in the small Wisconsin town asking Morgan for her help.
Morgan is called to help out on a case once again, but this time she is looking for Bigfoot. I have to admit that I kind of wanted to see her find the creature but I like that she tends to look for other possible explanations. I enjoyed Morgan’s approach to investigation and was impressed that the story kept me guessing until the very end. The fact that Morgan always has her dog, Newt, with her only adds to the appeal of this story.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Susan Bennett did a wonderful job with the story. I liked the various voices that she used in the narration of this story and thought that she brought a lot of life to the story through her reading. I found her voice to be very pleasant and had no problems listening to this book for hours at a stretch. I am certain that her performance added to my overall enjoyment of this book.
I would recommend this book to others. This book could work as a stand-alone since the mystery is contained in this volume but I would recommend reading the series in order if possible. I found this installment to be very entertaining and must admit that I liked it a bit more than the first book. I was very satisfied with how things worked out in the end and look forward to the next installment.

This wasn't my favorite book in the series but I did enjoy it. Helena is back and helping out with another investigation in Mudbug. This time she is helping Maryse's cousin, Jayden. I was happy to see a lot familiar characters play a role in this installment. Helena was just as over the top as she has ever been. Johanna Parker did a fantastic job with the narration. I look forward to reading more of the series very soon.

I had a great time with this book! I liked the first book in this series quite a bit so I was eager to see what might happen in this second installment. When I noticed that the audiobook was available from my local library, I decided to grab a copy and spent much of my time with this book listening to the audio while following along in the book. I found this installment to be incredibly entertaining.
PJ (Peter) and JP are involved in a play that Peter wrote and JP will act in. They have a known director signed on so things look promising. Unfortunately, that director proves to be incredibly difficult to work with. After the director is found dead, Peter and JP decide to try to find out if it was an accident or if someone could be responsible for his death. I thought that the mystery was very done and while I figured out a few things, some things kept me guessing until the very end.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that the author did a great job of reading this story. He easily bought this wonderful cast of characters to life and I thought that he added just the right amount of emotion and excitement to his reading. He definitely knows the story and turned out to be the perfect choice for the narrator. I do believe that his performance added to my enjoyment of the story.
I would not hesitate to recommend this book to others. I thought that it was a fun cozy and I love that it featured LGBT+ characters. This is the second book in the Domestic Partners in Crime series but could easily work as a stand-alone. I can’t wait to read more of this entertaining series!

I am so glad that I finally took the time to listen to this audiobook! I liked Abby a lot and I was totally invested in the mystery of the story. I really liked seeing Abby use her gift to help others. I was hooked by this story right away and couldn’t wait to see how things would work out. I found this to be a very entertaining mystery.
Abby works as a psychic and her predictions are eerily accurate. When she shares a few things she has seen with her date, she doesn’t realize that he is a detective. Before she knows it she is in the middle of an investigation. I like the idea of the budding romance with the detective, Dutch, and I thought that the other supporting characters were very well done.
I thought that Elizabeth Michaels did a great job with the narration of this audiobook. I thought that she did a great job of bringing Abby’s character to life. I found her voice to be very pleasant and I had no problem listening to the book for extended periods of time. I do believe that her narration increased my enjoyment of the story.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a really fun cozy and I really liked the way that Abby’s abilities helped to solve the mystery. I would love to read more of this entertaining story in the future.

This was fun! I have been having a great time working my way through the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries series and I was not disappointed by this installment. This is the sixth book in the series and while it could probably be read as a stand-alone the series is perhaps best read in order since the relationships between the characters have evolved over the course of the series.
Verity and Ellis try to take a little vacation by going away on the Sugarland Express. Things get more complicated when Frankie talks her into tagging along, not to mention her pesky ex-fiance, a ghost train, and a bit of murder. Verity has plenty of things to worry about not just in the real world but also on the ghostly plane. I had fun watching Verity try to figure everything out and I loved the fact that the mystery was able to keep me guessing.
Tavia Gilbert continues to do an excellent job with the narration of this series. I am a big fan of her narration and I really do enjoy all of the various voices that she uses in reading the story to help bring it to life. She adds just enough excitement and emotion to the narration to keep me glued to my headphones. She has become the voice of Verity and I couldn’t imagine experiencing this story in any other way.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. This is a fun paranormal cozy mystery with characters that are easy to love and a mystery that kept me guessing I cannot wait to read the next book in this entertaining series.

I thought that this was a fun story! It has been a little more than a year since I listened to the previous book in this series and I really enjoyed getting back to it. Verity has her work cut out for her once again with a new mystery and a frustrating ghostly sidekick. I had such a good time with this one that I was able to listen to the entire book in less than a day.
Verity receives a call for help from a historic home, now a museum, but when the police arrive there is nobody there. Her ghostly sidekick, Frankie, is busy turning her home into a gambling paradise for all the neighborhood ghosts. To top it off, a society group wants her to join their ranks and her boyfriend’s mother is out to cause trouble. When a dead body shows up, Verity thinks it is more than just an accident and wants to get to the bottom of things but she may find out the answers to a few other mysteries before she is done. I really liked all of the characters in this book and especially enjoyed what we learned and some of the developments involving some of the ghosts.
Tavia Gilbert does a fantastic job with the narration of this series. The voices that she uses for the various characters are all very distinctive and help to bring the characters to life. I thought that she added a lot of excitement and some humor to her reading which helped to make this a very pleasant listening experience.
I would definitely recommend this series to others. This is the fifth book in the series which could work as a stand-alone if necessary but the series is best when read in order if at all possible. I really enjoyed trying to figure out this mystery with Verity and was pleased to find a few surprises along the way. I look forward to reading more of this series very soon.

I enjoyed this book! I decided to give this book a try because I was in the mood for a cozy and I really liked that this book features LGBT+ characters. I found this book to be a super quick read that was hard to put down and I ended up reading most of it in a single day. I thought that this was an excellent first installment in a series that I am looking forward to following.
PJ and JP are almost ready to film the second season of their home renovation show but in order to get things started, they need a house to feature. Luck would have it that there is a house in their neighborhood that was recently inherited by identical twins, Tom and Terry, that needs a lot of updating. Things take an unfortunate turn when Tom is found dead inside the house and it may not have been an accident.
I liked all of the characters and was incredibly pleased to see LGBT+ representation in a cozy mystery. This really was a fun little mystery. I did figure out the mystery pretty early on but I had a good time watching the characters put the pieces of the puzzle together. I had hoped to see a little more home renovation in the story but everything in this book takes place just prior to the start of the actual renovation. I really enjoyed the fact that on top of filming a show and solving a murder, PJ and JP also worked to adopt a dog.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. I had a great time reading this book and couldn’t wait to see how things would work out for all of the characters. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work in the future.

This story packs quite the punch into just a little over an hour. After finishing the previous installment in the series, I wasn’t quite ready to move on to something else so when I saw that there was a short story available I started listening right away. I really liked this story and thought that it reminded me of the show, Ghost Whisperer, more than any of the previous installments.
Verity is asked to look into a possible haunting at the local animal shelter. The cages keep opening on their own and the shelter needs to figure out what is going on. Verity is surprised to find a little boy opening the cages who she remembers as being missing. She helps him find his lost dog and get the closure that both he and his family need. It really was a touching story and I felt so bad for him and his family after learning what happened to him.
Tavia Gilbert once again does a great job with the narration. The time that I spent listening to this audiobook flew by quickly because I was so absorbed in the story. I am convinced that the best way to experience this series is through audio. I would highly recommend this series to fans of paranormal cozy mysteries. I hope to read more of this entertaining series soon.

This was another great installment in the series. I have had a lot of fun tagging along with Verity and Frankie as they set things right in the world. In this installment, Verity gets the chance to actually get paid for the things that she has been doing ever since Frankie came into her life. The only catch is that she has to help find whatever treasure might be hiding inside a house that has more than its share of ghosts, and some of them are not happy.
I really had a great time with this book. I really liked the fact that Verity isn’t hiding her skills any longer. There were some unexpected twists in this book which added to the overall appeal. There was a time or two that I was really worried about Verity. I liked seeing how the relationship between Verity and Ellis is developing and I think that his character adds a lot to the story. Frankie added some lighter moments and I love how his personality offsets Verity’s almost perfectly.
Tavia Gilbert did a fantastic job with the narration of this series once again. I love how she is able to add so much life to each of the characters that play a role in the story. Over the years she has become one of my favorite narrators and I know that her narration added to my enjoyment of this story. I would highly recommend this series to others. It is such a fun cozy series with a perfectly balanced paranormal element. I cannot wait to listen to more of this series.

This was a fun short listen! When I finished listening to the previous installment in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series, I had about another hour of time to fill so I decided to dive right into this short story. I feel like this story would work well on its own without having read any of the other books in the series.
Verity and Frankie go to work at a party in order to help a ghost we met in the previous installment retrieve an item that he needs. Verity is working a party serving food but there is a ghostly funeral occurring in the same space. Nothing seems to go as planned. I couldn’t wait to see how Verity would be able to do achieve her goals. Tavia Gilbert’s performance was wonderful and added to the overall experience.
I would recommend this story to others! I think that this was a very entertaining story which would be an ideal way for readers to give the series a try. I definitely plan to read more of this series just as soon as I can.
Initial Thoughts This was a fun short listen. It was fun to go along with Verity as she worked on a problem for a character that we met in the last installment. Tavia Gilbert did a fantastic job with the narration.

I had a great time with this book and thought it was a fantastic addition to the series. I have been eager to continue with this series and am so glad that I finally worked this book into my reading schedule. This is the second book in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series which I would recommend reading in order if possible but it could work as a stand-alone if necessary.
Verity stumbles upon a dead body while helping her sister prepare for a big event. Nobody knows who killed Darla or what their motive was so Verity decides to see what she can learn with the help of her ghostly sidekick Frankie and Ellis, a local officer and potential love interest. Throw in the efforts to win her back coming from her ex-fiance and the demands of Frankie, and Verity has her hands full in this installment.
I thought that this book was very entertaining. I had no idea who was responsible for all of the things going on around Verity. It was great to get the chance to know the characters we met in the first book a little better and I enjoyed meeting a few new ones as well. I was very happy with the development that we saw in Verity’s romantic life. The book was very well written and I felt like the pacing of the story was spot on.
Tavia Gilbert did a wonderful job with the narration. She is able to use a distinctive voice for each character that appears in the story which really helps bring this to life. I thought that she was able to add a lot of emotion and excitement to the story as well. I think that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I thought that this was good! I have seen this author's books around for years and have always wanted to try her work. I thought that this would be the perfect one to start with as soon as I saw it. Mia has just moved back to Magic Springs and is just about to open a new catering business. She is planning to provide food for a birthday party and the customer is being rather difficult. Things get even worse when the customer is killed and people start pointing the finger at Mia. She still needs to get her building approved to open for business and a local man, Trent, is ready to jump in and help get things done.
I had a great time with this one. There were several different mysteries to solve in this book and they all kept me guessing. I was never quite sure who Mia should trust and who was responsible for the crimes. There was plenty of excitement in this book and times when I wondered if Mia would be able to stay safe. I did think that the paranormal aspects of the story were more toned down than I would have expected but there is a bit sprinkled throughout the story.
Angie Hickman did a fantastic job with the narration. I thought that she did a fantastic job bringing life to Mia's character. I thought that she added a lot of excitement to the story and I liked the variety of voices that she used for the various characters. She has a very pleasant voice, and I found this book easy to listen to for hours at a time. I feel like her narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

This was great! I listened to the first book in this series around the holidays last year so I was excited to check out this second installment this season. Each book could be read as a stand-alone even though I think that the relationships between the characters would be best appreciated if the series is read in order. I had a great time with this one and found it to be a wonderful holiday read.
Holly is looking forward to a nice murder-free Christmas. She goes wither her friend Caroline to an event in town where a giant candy bowl is revealed. Unfortunately, this year the bowl of candy has been topped off by a body. The murder weapon near the body is one from Caroline's shop so Holly decided to do a little investigating herself.
I thought that this murder mystery was very well done. I had no idea who the culprit was until it was revealed in the story. Holly is just a wonderful character and she really does seem to have a knack for solving the crimes in Mistletoe. The town does, of course, have a sheriff who is also quite capable and happens to be interested in Holly even if he doesn't always act like it. In fact, I found that the mystery behind the sheriff's behavior to almost as interesting as the murder.
Allyson Ryan did a fantastic job with the narration of this story. I loved all of the voices that she used for the different characters. She added a lot of emotion into her reading which made everything a little more exciting. She read the book at a very nice pace and I found her voice to be very pleasant. I think I enjoyed this book a bit more because I decided to listen to the audiobook.
