This book is simply not working for me. I feel like most of the story has been Mabel's inner monologue, and it is just taking me out of the story. I feel no connection to either of these characters and there seems to be no chemistry between them. Unfortunately, I am not invested in the outcome of the story.
I was so excited to get the chance to listen to this book. I have tried really hard to get a grasp on the world but I am finding it very confudnf @15%

I do think that the narrator has done a fantastic job with this novel but this seems to be a book that would work best for me in print. I have put in a request for this book at my local library and hope to give it another try very soon.

There are a lot of narrators which can be a good thing but I think that it just adds to the confusion with this book. Maybe it would improve if I kept going but I just don't care to find out at this point.

Unfortunately, after reading more than half the book I am still finding it a struggle so it is time to give up on this one. I think that the premise is pretty interesting but I just feel nothing for the characters. I actually thought that Fern's voice was the most interesting part of the story. This was a book that I was really excited to get the chance to read but it just isn't working for me.

This one is not for me at all. When I was offered this book for review, I thought it sounded like something I might like so I gave it a try. I do not care for Melissa Moran's narration at all. She sounds very monotonous during most of the reading although she sounds a lot more natural during dialogue so I guess the robotic voice is a stylistic choice. I just know that the narration made it very hard to stay focused on the book.
The story wasn't really working for me either. There is a whole lot of insta-love going on in this one smothered by a ton of cheese. It was all too much for me. After listening to the book for more than 5 hours, I just don't care what happens so it is time to set it aside and move on to something else.
Other readers may enjoy this one a lot more than I did.

I thought Simon's story was fairly predictable and Klara's story is not at all exciting. I wouldn't say that the book is bad but I keep setting it aside for other things so it is obviously not for me.
