I am so glad that books like this one are available for middle-grade kids. I thought that this book did an excellent job of addressing issues that young adults might face due to their sexuality or gender identity. I think that anyone wanting to understand these issues better would benefit from reading this book, regardless of age, sexuality, or gender identity.
This story is told from two points of view. Abigail (she/her/hers) recently lost her friends when they learned that she had a crush on a friend’s mom and is eager to go to Camp QUILTBAG where she hopes to meet kids who understand. Kai (e/em/eir) doesn’t really want to go but Kai’s parents want em to go after an incident at school left em wearing a sling. Kai and Abigail form a pact to try to win points for Kai’s cabin and seem to have a special connection.
I thought that this was a fun story filled with a wonderfully diverse cast of characters. I love that the adults in the story were supportive of the campers and were willing to listen to their concerns and make changes when needed. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in reading a story that touches on some of the issues that queer and transgender youth might face.

I really enjoyed reading this book! My family is probably glad that I finished it since I wouldn’t stop talking about it on the days that I was reading it. Of all of the classes I took in college, the ones that have stayed with me are the ones dealing with the anatomy of the human body. For some reason, it has always been fascinating to me. I jumped at the chance to read this book and found it to be both informative and entertaining.
I liked the way that the book was laid out with each chapter being dedicated to a section on the body. The author uses real cases to illustrate the topic being discussed which I found incredibly interesting. A few of the situations that were highlighted in the book were stranger than anything that I could imagine and I enjoyed the explanations regarding how science could both identify an individual and their cause of death. I felt like the author presented the information in a manner that would work well for the average reader.
I would recommend this book to others. I don’t read a lot of non-fiction but this book was definitely my kind of book. I applaud the author for sharing parts of her own life and for giving me something to think about. I would not hesitate to read more of Sue Black’s work.

I really enjoyed this book! After reading Just My Type, I knew that I wanted to read more of this talented author’s work and decided to give her previous novel a try. This ended up being another delightful romance with enough laughs to really keep me glued to my headphones. Sadie and Jack were both great characters and I enjoyed their journey from roommates to becoming a couple.
After being passed over for a promotion for someone less qualified once again, Sadie needs a change. She thinks that she is meeting Jack for a coffee date but it turns out Jack is looking for a roommate instead. The house is perfect and the rent is much more affordable, which is perfect since Sadie has just lost her job. She takes this opportunity to change gears and try to make her dream of running a florist business a reality.
I thought that Sadie and Jack were great together. I liked the fact that things moved rather slowly between them and they developed a friendship before anything else. They have both had some big issues in their past and I liked getting to see them start to open up to each other. I thought that they had great chemistry and I really wanted to see them find their happily ever after. Sadie’s friends were great and I thought that they added a lot to the overall story.
Addison Barnes did a fantastic job with the narration of this audiobook. I loved the voices that she used for the various characters and felt like she really was able to bring this story to life. I thought that she had a very pleasant voice and I had no problems listening to her narration for hours at a time. I do believe that her narration added to my enjoyment of this story.
I would not hesitate to recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a very solid romance with just the right amount of added humor. I wasn’t completely sold on the reasons behind the third-act break-up but I really enjoyed the journey overall.

Mazey Eddings is quickly becoming a favorite author! I have enjoyed her adult titles and was excited to read this new YA novel. I am proud to report that this book was just as good as I had hoped it would be! I knew that I was going to have a great time with this book when I found myself laughing out loud during the first 30 minutes of listening. I think the smile I had may have stayed on my face until the very end of the story.
Tilly and Oliver were wonderful characters who seemed destined to find each other. There were a few scenes that made me laugh and other moments that touched my heart. Tilly has ADHD and her family doesn’t always help support her in the best way even though they do care for her. Oliver has dealt with autism which can make it hard to make connections with others. I thought that the author did a phenomenal job of illustrating exactly what these two neurodivergent teens go through on a daily basis and I loved how they saw each other.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Justis Bolding and Chris Nelson did a great job with the story. I liked the way that they were both able to bring these wonderful characters to life through their narrator. I feel like their voices complemented each other’s very well and I found both to be very pleasant. I liked that they were both able to add just the right amount of emotion to their reading. I do believe that their narration added to my overall enjoyment.
I would recommend this book to others. These characters quickly worked their way into my heart and I found the story to be incredibly entertaining. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author’s work!

I am so glad that I finally took the time to listen to this audiobook! I liked Abby a lot and I was totally invested in the mystery of the story. I really liked seeing Abby use her gift to help others. I was hooked by this story right away and couldn’t wait to see how things would work out. I found this to be a very entertaining mystery.
Abby works as a psychic and her predictions are eerily accurate. When she shares a few things she has seen with her date, she doesn’t realize that he is a detective. Before she knows it she is in the middle of an investigation. I like the idea of the budding romance with the detective, Dutch, and I thought that the other supporting characters were very well done.
I thought that Elizabeth Michaels did a great job with the narration of this audiobook. I thought that she did a great job of bringing Abby’s character to life. I found her voice to be very pleasant and I had no problem listening to the book for extended periods of time. I do believe that her narration increased my enjoyment of the story.
I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a really fun cozy and I really liked the way that Abby’s abilities helped to solve the mystery. I would love to read more of this entertaining story in the future.

This was really good! Sarina Bowen is one of my must-read authors so I am always eager to get my hands on anything that she writes. I was even more excited when I found out that she had written a new M/M hockey romance and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Once I started listening to this book, I did not want to put it down. I wanted so much to see Gavin and Hudson make things work and couldn’t wait to see them find their happily ever after together.
I loved Hudson and Gavin together and thought that the chemistry that they shared was incredible. Gavin is a single father after his husband died suddenly several years earlier. Hudson is the new guy on Brooklyn’s hockey team. He is used to being the new guy since he seems to be traded almost every season, making it hard to make real connections. As a result, he has kept the fact that he is attracted to men to himself. Gavin happens to be the athletic trainer for the same team, which makes things very interesting. It doesn’t take long for this pair to realize they cannot resist one another.
Teddy Hamilton and J.F. Harding completely nailed this narration. They both did a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life and adding a lot of emotion to their reading. I felt like their voices complimented each other’s very well. Once I had my headphones on, I did not want to take them off and ended up listening to this book for hours at a time. I am positive that their narration only added to my enjoyment of this story.
I would highly recommend this book to others. Gavin and Hudson are incredibly likable characters who were meant to be together. This book had me swooning from the start and I felt invested in this pair’s relationship very early on. I cannot wait to read more of Sarina Bowen’s work!

Based on the cover alone, I knew that this book was going to be amazing. I wasn’t sure if it would be amazingly good or amazingly bad so I am quite pleased to report that it definitely falls into the good category for me. Now, this is not going to be a book for everyone but I really enjoyed it. I had hoped that it would be a little different when I picked it up and it was just that. It is gory, violent, and disturbing all rolled into one neat little package. I just couldn’t stop listening once I started.
Maeve spends her days working as a princess at Disneyland but her time away from work is often a bit more depraved. I don’t think that there is much that Maeve is unwilling to do and I really enjoyed just sitting back and waiting to see what she might do next. When she meets her best friend’s brother, Gideon, they seem to have an instant connection. I just loved the fact that basically, anything could happen within the pages of this novel.
This is the first time that I have had the opportunity to listen to Sosia Bacon’s work as a narrator and I must say that I was quite impressed. She really brought this story to life and added a layer of excitement through her reading. She had a very pleasant voice that was easy to listen to for hours at a time. I do believe that her narration added to my enjoyment of this story.
I would recommend this book to horror fans. I loved that this was a different kind of story that ended up being full of surprises. Maeve was not a nice character but I found that I liked her anyway. I will be on the lookout for future works by this talented author.

I really liked this book! I liked it so much that I finished it in less than 24 hours once I finally started it because I just couldn’t put it down. As soon as I heard someone describe this book as a romance with a ghost, I knew that I had to read it. I am just sorry that I waited as long as I did to actually give it a try.
Florence was a fantastic character and I felt really bad for her for everything that she had been through. Her ex-boyfriend treated her horribly which has impacted her ability to finish her book and the editor doesn’t want to give her an extension. I loved the fact that she was a ghostwriter that sees ghosts. The story with the ghost was really fantastic. I loved Florence and Ben together. As they spent time together and got to know each other better, it quickly became obvious that they were perfect for each other.
This book had me feeling so many things. I thought that the parts of the book that dealt with grief were extremely well done and some of the most powerful in the book. It was great to see Florence and her family come together to support each other. I think that everything came together so well in this story and I loved seeing the changes that occur in Florence’s life.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Eileen Stevens did a phenomenal job with this audiobook. I thought that she did a fantastic job of bringing the cast of characters to life. I was totally captivated by this book and felt like her narration added to my enjoyment of this story.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this story to others. I found it to be a really original romance with fantastic characters and a lot of heart. I did figure out some of the plot twists but I really enjoyed the journey. I do hope to read more of this author’s work soon.

This was incredibly exciting right from the start! I have been a huge fan of Harlan Coben’s work for a very long time. I was really eager to read this book and went into the book with incredibly high expectations. I am happy to report that those expectations were all met. This was the kind of story that grabs you right away and doesn’t let go and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I couldn’t imagine finding myself in David’s situation. To not only lose a child but to be serving time for that child’s murder when you know that you didn’t do it. When he learns that his son may actually be alive, he will stop at nothing to find him. I found this book almost impossible to put down and I loved the fact that it kept me guessing until the end.
I had so many questions as I worked my way through this story. I hoped that David would actually find that his son was still alive but then that raised the question of who was actually killed. Every time I thought that I had things figured out, something would happen and I would realize that I had been wrong. I really liked the characters and wanted to see things work out for them. I am not sure that everything that occurred in the book was entirely possible but it was entertaining so it works for me.
I would highly recommend this book to others. I loved the twists and turns of the story that kept me glued to the pages. I thought that the characters were easy to like and I felt invested in the outcome of the story. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author’s writing.

This was such a delightful read! I have had a lot of luck with Katherine Center’s books so I was incredibly excited to dive into her newest offering. There were parts of the story that were fairly predictable but I didn’t care since I was having such a great time. Once I started reading this one, I did not want to put it down. I had a wonderful time with this book and couldn’t wait to see how things would work out in the end.
Sadie was a great character and I loved getting the chance to see her work through some pretty big issues, including the sudden inability to see faces. Sadie is a portrait artist so seeing faces is vital to what she does. I couldn’t imagine dealing with some of the things that were thrown at her in this book. I really liked how the romance of the story was handled and thought it added a lot to the story. l I was eager to see Sadie find her happily ever after.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Patti Murin did an amazing job with this story. I thought her voice was perfectly suited to this book and enjoyed the various voices that she used to represent the cast of characters. I felt like she added just the right amount of emotion to her reading. I listened to this book for hours at a time and believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment.
I would highly recommend this book to others! I thought that this was a wonderful story about a resilient character that I couldn’t help but love with a nice dose of romance worked in perfectly. I will definitely be reading more of Katherine Center’s work soon.

This was fantastic! I loved Indira and Jude. They have known each other since they were young children since Jude was Indira’s brother’s best friend. They are not huge fans of each other but with Indira’s brother getting married, they somehow find themselves living in the same house. After deciding to be each other’s dates for all of the wedding festivities, the fake situation starts to become very real.
Jude and Indira were wonderful characters. Both Jude and Indira had a lot of issues to deal with personally and I liked the way they supported each other. I thought that the story dealt with mental health and therapy in a very positive manner. I thought that they were really good for each other and the chemistry between them was palpable. I really enjoyed their journey towards a happily ever after.
I thought that Imani Jade Powers and Joe Arden did a fantastic job with the narration of this book. I thought that they both did a wonderful job of bringing this cast of characters to life and I thought that their voices complimented each other very well. They added just the right amount of emotion to their reading and I am certain that their performance added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I really liked this story a lot! After reading the first book in the Macey Gardella & Max Denton series, I was eager for more so I decided to jump into the first book that features Max, Macey’s father. This is a novella/short book but I thought it told a very big story. I was hooked right away and found it next to impossible to stop reading.
Max is a venator, or vampire hunter, and I thought that he was a fantastic character. He has been through a lot. When he was younger, vampires murdered his wife so he sent his daughter away to keep her safe. He is paired up to work with Savina, the daughter of the man he blames for his wife’s death, which goes over as well as you would think. I liked seeing him in action but I also liked seeing him let his guard down just a bit. Savina is pretty amazing herself. She is not a venator but has still joined the fight and hopes to clear her father’s name in the process. I thought that these two made a fantastic team.
I would definitely recommend this book to others. This is the second book in the Macey Gardella & Max Denton series, which is a spin-off of The Gardella Vampire Hunters series. I think that this story could work as a stand-alone but I would suggest reading the series in order if at all possible. I cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series.

I enjoyed this one! It did take a bit before the story really hooked me but once it did, I had a hard time putting it down. Joe goes to Chicago to make some money to send back home to his mother and save their farm. Times are hard and Joe is not afraid of hard work but he is soon drawn into a less-than-honest way to make some real money. I was incredibly worried about how things would work out for Joe before this book drew to a close.
I liked Joe right away but I cannot say the same thing for his cousin, Bernie. I feel like he grew and learned a lot about himself over the course of the story. Joe has always tried to do what is expected of him but while he is in Chicago he is able to explore his true feelings and what he really wants out of life. He spent time with two very different young men, Raymond and Eddie. Things aren’t always what they seem and Joe learns a lot about the kind of man he wants to be. I thought that the fact that the book was set in the 1930s made the story even more interesting.
I would recommend this book to others. I found this to be a very well-done coming-of-age story. I really liked the characters and loved the way the setting came alive. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that there were a few twists that made the story even more interesting. I would not hesitate to read more of James Klise’s work in the future.

This was really good! I liked the fact that while the romance was a big part of the story, it wasn’t the only focus. Julie was a fantastic character and I loved seeing how much effort she put into her role as an online food influencer. I thought that Bennett and Julie were great together and I really liked the cast of secondary characters. I am so glad that I decided to pick up this enemies-to-lovers romance.
Julie works as an executive assistant during the day but her passion is the work she does as a food influencer. When someone else gets the food critic job at the newspaper, she is disappointed. It would have been her dream job with health insurance and an expense account. When she gets attention by posting an argument between herself and the man who got the job, Bennett, they decide to partner up to do a few joint reviews.
I really liked the romance and thought that Julie and Bennett had great chemistry together. I really appreciated the fact that this book was about much more than that. I really liked learning about all of the things that Julie did in order to fill her role as a food influencer. I also liked the fact that Julie had some career issues to deal with, not to mention her boss’s sometimes clueless and entitled daughter to deal with. Honestly, some of my favorite parts of the book involved Emerson Leigh.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Anna Caputo did a fantastic job with the narration. I thought that the voices that she used for both the male and female characters were all very well done. I felt like she was able to add just the right amount of emotion into her reading. She has a very pleasant voice that I found easy to listen to for hours at a time. I am certain that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.

Mariel plans to keep her soul so Ozroth is stuck with her until they can make a deal. I loved watching Mariel learn to start standing up for herself and set some boundaries with her family.
Mariel and Ozroth were both great characters. I enjoyed the romance between Mariel and Ozroth and thought that they both showed a lot of growth over the course of the story. I had no idea how these two could possible make things work but I was eager to see it happen. Ozroth is quite protective of Mariel and has a hard time watching the way her family treats her. I just had a lot of fun with this romance overall.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Helen Laser did a wonderful job with this story. It was so easy to lose myself in this story largely due to her narration. I enjoyed the various voices that she used for the characters and thought that she added just the right amount of emotion to her reading. I am certain that her narration heightened my enjoyment of this fantastic novel.

I really enjoyed this romance! I liked Eliza from the start and I felt for her when her paper went viral. I remember making up a few things in some of my personal essays when I was in school as Eliza did. Thank goodness none of my papers ever got the attention that Eliza’s did. Eliza comes up with the perfect plan which involves the most famous boy at her school, Caz.
Eliza and Caz were both great characters and I loved how they were with each other. Caz is a well-known actor and Eliza is the awkward new girl at school but they still seem to connect with each other really well. Eliza’s family moves all the time so she is tired of trying to fit in and make new friends. Caz is so well known and is always needing to keep up an appearance so he rarely lets his guard down to show his true shelf.
I love the fact that the story deals with more than just romance. Eliza is worried about maintaining her friendship with her best friend whom she has not seen in years. Both Eliza and Caz are very talented and work very hard and I liked seeing them excel. I really appreciated the fact that the book was set in Beijing and wanted to try all of the different foods mentioned in the story.

I really liked this book! I have been wanting to read this series for a long time and must admit that I have been more than a little intimidated by just how big the series is. I read the first book in the series not quite two years ago and I am realizing that I need to pick up the pace if I want any chance of catching up with the series before I die of old age so I am ready to start working on it. I am ready to fully embrace this series and was excited to jump into this second book in the series.
Eve is investigating a murder and the victim has a lot of connections to some pretty important people. Before she can solve the crime, she learns that another victim has been found. I enjoyed trying to figure out who was responsible for this string of murders along with Eve. The futuristic setting was fun. I never would have imagined that a detective would need to interview an android during their investigation. I really enjoyed the developments in Eve and Roarke’s relationship.
I listened to the audiobook and thought that Susan Ericksen did a fantastic job with the narration of this book. I love the accent that she uses when Roarke is speaking and I think that her voice fits the rest of the characters quite well. She has a very pleasant voice that was easy to listen to for hours at a time. I do believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of the book.
I would recommend this book to others. This is the second book in the In Death series but it could be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed this one! I am a bit surprised by just how much I liked it and am kicking myself for waiting so long to read this book. I think that I have seen pieces of the movie but have never sat down to watch the whole thing so I wasn’t overly familiar with the story. I have only read a handful of King’s work and I thought it would be interesting to go back and read his debut novel. I have to say that his talent was evident from the beginning.
I felt bad for Carrie right from the start. Her home life was absolutely horrible and the way that she was treated at school only made things worse. Carrie lives with her extremely religious mother and is forced to follow a harsh set of rules. After an incident in the high school locker room, Carrie is ready to push back against her mother. Things reach a climax at the high school prom when Carrie is crowned queen. She has recently rediscovered her telekinetic power and she has had enough. By the time the night is over, it will be a night the town will never forget.
I thought that Sissy Spacek did a fantastic job with the narration. This isn’t the first time that Ms. Spacek has brought this character to life and I thought that she was the ideal choice to voice this audiobook. I thought that she was able to add just the right amount of emotion and excitement to her reading. I do believe that her performance added to my overall enjoyment of this story.
I would not hesitate to recommend this book to others. This is one of King’s shorter works but it packs a big punch. I ended up listening to this book in a single day simply because I didn’t want to put it down. I cannot wait to read more of this author’s work.

I liked this book quite a bit! I didn’t like it quite as much as I liked the first book that featured Macey but it was still an excellent read. This is the third book in the Macey Gardella & Max Denton series which is a spin-off of The Gardella Vampire Hunters Series. I would recommend reading at least the first book featuring Macey, Roaring Midnight, before diving into this one since this story picks up shortly after the events of that book.
Macey is working for Al Capone rather unwillingly. Spending time with him has proven to be worse than imagined but she needs to keep those she cares about safe. I must say that the parts of the book that involved Al Capone were my least favorite of the book. Macey does get back in touch with the other venators, or vampire hunters, which is where the story shined for me.
I would not hesitate to recommend this series to others. I found this installment exciting with enough action to keep things very interesting. There were a few surprises that kept me glued to the pages. I cannot wait to see what will happen next in the series!

This was delightful! This is the first time that I have picked up any of Rachel Lynn Solomon’s work but I already consider myself to be a new fan. Once I started reading this book, I did not want to put it down because I was so invested in the story. I loved the humor that was worked into the story and found myself chuckling several times before the story drew to a close. I am so glad that I finally decided to try this author’s work.
Chandler and Finn were both amazing characters and the chemistry between them was off the charts. I loved that they actually communicated with each other even when it wasn’t easy and worked hard to grow as individuals. I couldn’t imagine working together after their initial meeting but I was glad to see them decided to give it a try. I just couldn’t wait to see this pair figure out a way to be each other’s happily ever after.
