Tresor Attempto Racing scored a class victory in the highly acclaimed edition of the Spa 24 Hours to mark its 100th anniversary. Further international successes for the Audi R8 LMS in GT3 and GT4 versions rounded off a successful weekend for the customer teams.

Work on the Power Unit for Audi’s Formula 1 entry has been underway for more than two years. The specially created Audi Formula Racing GmbH (AFR) in Neuburg a. d. Donau is responsible for the development of the F1 hybrid drive (“Power Unit”) and has successfully completed the set-up phase. Together with the Hinwil facility, the team from Neuburg will form the future factory team with which Audi will compete in the top class in 2026. Audi is implementing the AI-based chatbot ChatGPT via Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service in its infotainment system to enhance its vehicles' voice control capabilities. From July this year, owners of around two million Audi models made since 2021 and equipped with the third-generation modular infotainment system (MIB 3) will be able to interact with their car using natural language and listen to the information they would like to know while driving. New vehicles such as the Q6 e-tron and future models with the E3 1.2 electronics architecture will receive ChatGPT via Cerence Chat Pro as an extension of the Audi assistant.

The Audi RS 3 LMS once again proved its performance with five victories in five series in the middle of the season. Winners’ trophies and podium successes with the three homologated variants of the Audi R8 LMS rounded off a successful penultimate weekend in June.

Audi is rounding out the Audi Q8 model range, not only with the new RS Q8 with an output of 441 kW (600 PS) but is adding a new, second version to the top model in the series: the RS Q8 performance. Its increased output of 471 kW (640 PS) makes the SUV the most powerful series-produced combustion model in the history of Audi Sport GmbH. Both vehicles boast outstanding driving dynamics thanks to an optimized, self-locking center differential while guaranteeing an equally impressive suitability for everyday use. The exterior of the RS Q8 and RS Q8 performance take their cues from the recently upgraded Q8. New equipment packages allow more freedom for customization. The new Audi RS Q8 and RS Q8 performance will be launched in June of this year. Prices start at 141,900 and 155,700 euros.

Today, Gábor Berényi, owner and Managing Director of Smart Solar Kft., and Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt., signed an agreement to further expand the solar park of the Győr-based company. The company built 160,000 square meters of photovoltaic equipment on the roof of its logistics center in 2020. A further 85,000 square meters of solar panels will be installed on the roof of the vehicle assembly hall and around 75,000 square meters on the green space of the site.

Frank Stippler has set a new lap record on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with a preproduction model of the RS 3 product upgrade. The Audi Sport racing and development driver clocked an impressive time of 7:33.123 minutes, beating the current fastest lap time in this class by more than five seconds. Further proof that the enhanced top model from the A3 series is once again the fastest compact car.

While Tresor Audi Sport Italia competed for victory with the Audi R8 LMS at the start of the Italian endurance racing season, PB Racing by JMH recorded its third win of the season in Great Britain and Team Wolfbrook celebrated a class title in New Zealand.
