The unit is nice looking and was very quiet and efficient at cooling for the first 2 days. On the 3rd day of daytime use at 74 degree setting, it started making noise inside. The noise is loud enough to interfere with our television viewing, not great. The Seller offered to refund us if we ship it back to China, but it's too large and heavy for us to do that. We live on a 3rd floor and needed to enlist help getting it into our apartment, as the Amazon delivery would not assist. Lesson learned. Buy American.

Performs about as well as my Delonghi Pinguino, which was $600 retail but I got for $400 on sale - the base price of this guy. This Zafro AC cools at about the same rate, has similar sound levels, and even has a similar condensation drain setup. Not able to see if this will stand the test of time at the moment, but as far as functionality out of the box goes the Zafro is a great option if the big name brands are still expensive.

My home doesn’t have AC and hot-hot days used to occur maybe 3 times a year (pattern used to be 3 days hot and then the cool fog).

But patterns are changing and my hot flashes increasing. Tried this out on our first over 100’ day. Easy set up and it blew cold air enough to cool my living room and bedroom nicely.

Timer is great and the remote made it nice to change fan speeds. Fairly quiet (quieter than my water cooler).

Happy with this addition to my home. Only my PG & E bill will tell how cost efficient this is compared to my swamp cooler - but nice that I don’t have to worry about water levels (or spills).

This portable AC unit is perfect for my garage. I like to do a lot of small wood working crafts in the garage, but since it is a detached garage, it can get pretty warm in there with the tools running. This portable AC unit lets me easily get the temperature back down fast! This system is made really well and come with everything needed to set it up. Set up is so easy - just connect the vent hose to the piece that sits in the window, plug it up and turn it on. So easy and so nice. Being 12,000 BTUs, you know it has the power to cool.
