Greatest purchase of my LIFE!
I have had my 10,000 BTU unit with drain hose for a year now. I LOVE THIS THING! No more dealing with just fans or swamp coolers.I use mine on the 2nd floor of my home in Southern California and I used it practically all year long. That particular room gets quite warm, despite a good quality A/C unit for the rest of the house. I did paint my window installation kit black to match my exterior window trim. It's been a year and not a peep of any kind from the homeowner's association.My only issue is the drain hose began to get discolored a couple of months ago. (I just have it draining to a 5 gallon bucket and I check on it at least once a day.) I used a metal brush cleaner (normally used for CPAP machines) to clean it, but it just didn't do the job well enough. I couldn't find the measurements for the size of a replacement drain hose in the manual, but I bought one at Lowes. The ID (Interior Dimension) is 5/8" and the OD (Outer Dimension) is 3/4". Fits perfectly. I just cut it to the desired size. I hope others find that information useful.I followed a YouTube video that suggested cleaning the inside of the unit using compressed air. That seems to work well.The only other issue I have is that it isn't quite as sensitive for the temperature to turn on as it used to. I have a separate digital room thermometer and it used to turn on within 2 degrees of the temperature setting. Now, it seems to be 3-4 degrees instead of 2. Not a big deal. Not sure what to do about it, but it's a very minor thing.It just works. Get one and enjoy it.

I love it for several reasons. Mine is sitting in the bedroom with myself. I place it on 61 degrees cold temperature. It's freezing cold to me. I open my bedroom door, in the house there are ceiling fans through house. It cools off the entire house overnight. I didn't have to move it at all amazing. It's a very low slow doesn't disturb me at night, I sleep very very very light by the way. The wheels don't get stuck on my carpet in my room that thick. Easy to operate and figure out. I have no complaints so far period. Came with all the items shown. Its was very very well packed plus secured on the inside too. I tell you if I changed my mind in 3 more months.

This unit is terrific. Just know that any single-hose portable AC exhausts its hot air outside, and for every cubic inch of expelled air, you need an equal amount of inbound fresh air or you've made your room into a nifty decompression chamber. That's great if you get the bends a lot, but it sucks my cheeks in and makes me light headed and sleepy in my little well-insulated light-tight workshop in a hot Florida garage. Since I don't want to draw in more hot garage air just to feed this AC, I also installed a passive air vent between a shared interior wall of the air conditioned house and my shop. This poppet valve vent can be closed as needed and contains bug screens. It acts like a snorkel on a sub, and provides just enough fresh air and equalization to counter the negative air pressure created by this throttling AC, and with no ill effects on the house HVAC system. And that keeps my personal oxygen engine humming, and cool and happy. This AC is Quiet, smooth running, it's very effective and the front (vs top) vent arrangement was important for me since I've mounted it under a work counter and exhaust it from the rear thru a 6" dryer vent out the exterior facing wall. Just leave room for fresh air to get in behind it so it will operate efficiently, or fashion an air intake near its rear end. Excellent build, choice and value.

It gets to the temperature and then stops.
You can put it on continuous “fan” but that doesn’t blow cold. So it’s blow cold for a while then stop or blow room temp air.
Some people might like this feature but I would like the option to keep blowing cold air.
Other than that, works great.

I have two of these units. One purchase in April 2024 and one in May 2024. One is in my daughter's room and the other is in my office on our 2nd floor. They arrive in excellent packing. The one box had been through it a bit in transit, but the packing made that a non-issue. Getting the units out of the box is very easy as you can snip the strapping and simply pull the box up and off of the unit. Getting the units into position was as simple as rolling them into place as the wheels on the bottom of the unit roll and spin with ease. I have both units placed near each room's window. The windows are not typical as they do not open terribly wide. That was no issue as the window adapter is able to slide to fit. As my windows are not 'typical' I did have to fit, mark, and they use my saw to trim so the opening for the hose was fully open. I could have left it and installed but I wanted to be sure there was full airflow so I trimmed it. Once the window kit was in I just had to tighten the wingnut and all good. I discovered for my windows, attaching the hose needed to happen before the window kit was in place so you should maybe check if the same is for you before completing the window kit install. The hose connection did take a little wiggling and finessing, but it is not hard, just have to be patient. Once I had them setup and all of the packing and tape removed, I fired up the units and they began to cool the space immediately. Both spaces using the units are over 300 square feet and it does not struggle one bit keeping them cool. My daughter likes an ice box so hers is set to 67 while I am between 70-73 for my settings. It cools the rooms right down and when they hit the setting temperature will turn on and off to maintain. I have a thermometer in my office and it is right on with that for temperature. The only thing that is a drawback (I knew this going into purchase) is the drain. I have a bucket with the drain hose empting into those as I cannot drain out of the window due to the height of my window from the floor and the hose placement. That as I said I knew would be the case before I purchased, so I jut have to make sure that when I am done my work day I turn off the unit and dump the water replacing the bucket emptied. My daughter has had one 'oops' moment and a rug had to be replaced, but she is on top of it now. All in all if I needed a 3rd air conditioner that was portable and did not take up allot of space, I would purchase this air conditioner in a heartbeat.
