I was shocked that this worked as well as it did. I had to replace the first one because of an issue with the clean water plug but the replacement was here in no time. The amount of dirt this was able to get out of my carpets was amazing. I had been using a full size Bissell and it didn't do half the job this one did. I also like that it is small and compact and easy to maneuver.

I just received this machine and used it the very next day. I needed to clean my bedroom carpet, as it had only been vacuumed for a year and it also had some unsightly spill spots. I was not looking for a commercial grade appliance, just a residential one. I also didn’t want to pay “top dollar” but rather opt for a more sensibly priced one. I was looking for an upright model with a hose attachment for spot cleaning; this model fit the bill. This is my first carpet washer so I can’t compare to any other make or model, but I am well pleased. Assembly was not that complicated. I like the way everything snaps into place in a secure fit. One can control the unit with foot pedals at the base. The clean and dirty water canisters can be changed with ease. It comes with a bag, for storing the attachments, that can be hanged right on the machine, perfect. As for the results, it did the job. As with all machines, one must put in some “elbow grease” (work, for the young), as expected. The spots are gone and after a few canisters full of dirty water, the carpet was clean, I’m satisfied. So, while I can’t honestly compare it with other machines, I’m keeping this one. I hope it lasts without any mayor flaws; if it doesn’t, I’ll let you know.

I've had this machine now for about 3 months and I use it daily. I am very pleased with it. Before this one I had bought a carpet shampooer named after a predatory fish and it took a dump after less than 2 weeks. That brand does not make their models easy to repair either, no "right to repair". With this Kenmore the design is so simple, I love how BOTH tanks are at the bottom, just a great design and really easy to clean and I clean it every night after use. As for leaking I consider that every machine like which holds water is going to have some leaking, regardless, but I have not had any leaking issues, just drops of water when I move it from place to place, not a big deal for me. Definitely will buy again when time to replace. I recommend getting a quality enzymatic solution and you'll get good results with this machine and a good solution.

My SpotBot died, and I picked this cleaner after the many glowing reviews online. It cleans OK but not great. I find it hard to get the solution sprayed right onto the spot where you need it like the old SpotBot would do. And the spray nozzle doesn't consistently spray the solution as I push it along; that leads to spotty/speckled cleaning. Frustrating.
It does seem to pull up the water rather well with repeated dry runs over the area.
It's light.
It comes with a bag to hold all of the attachments & hang up. I really, really appreciate that.
The best part is how easy it is to rinse & clean the unit after use. The best I've ever seen. I do appreciate being able to easily wash out the dog hair from the front of the machine. Very nice.

I am very pleased with this small yet mighty machine’s design and performance. Since both the tanks are located at the same level, the weight of the machine didn’t strain my arms. It cleaned better than my previous hoover brand machine. It is also super easy to put together and pull apart for cleaning afterwards. I only wish that the dirty water tank had more capacity, it has to be emptied once the level reaches about 1/4th of the tank’s level.
