I bought this because it was within budget and recommended by a popular YouTube channel (whom I bought a vacuum based off of and loved so I figured I'd do the same for an air purifier).Well, although the filter looks high quality and the device itself feels nice with responsive capacitive buttons and the night light, I noticed that it wasn't taking in very much air. I have a lot of cat hair and dust (due to renovations) in my home and the air intake is clean despite being on the highest setting for multiple days. So I went to energy star's website and discovered that Kenmore is blatantly lying about the capability of this purifier. It's rated for 130 sq ft rooms NOT 850 and even then, it does not perform well in their metric tests for smoke, dust and pollen. I would suggest you save up and get a purifier from Coway or Blueair even if they're in the 200-300 dollar range because they are among the best in energy star's listings (a government website with consistent testing). How companies are allowed to ignore their metrics for advertisements yet retain their energy star certifications is beyond me. If you want additional information/recommendations I suggest consumer report but you have to pay for access.Overall, 2/5 stars. One star for purification and another for build quality/night light/fan noise. Will use until I can afford a better, honest model and then relegate it to a spare bedroom.

I've only had it about 5 days, and it seems to work nicely, though it's not the powerhouse my larger one is and that's okay, it's for a smaller area. However at powers low and medium, it is very quiet, but on high, it's very noisy - louder than my larger air cleaner. So I can't run it on high as it's disruptive. Essentially a loss for me.
Consequently, the beneficial impact of my larger one is noticibly better.
