About Us: 


Basemakers, a fast-growing INC 500 sales agency, is thrilled to announce the launch of a new podcast under a separate distinct brand name, dedicated to unveiling the riveting stories and powerful insights of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry with the biggest business leaders in the world with guests such as: C-Suite Execs with multi-billion dollar exits, Brand Founders/CEOs, Executives of the largest retailer in the world, World-Class Investors, Celebrities who’ve founded consumer brands and more. This podcast will be co-hosted by the dynamic duo of Basemakers' CEO (Max Baumann) and a Founding Partner at Midnight Ventures (Ryan Springer). We’re seeking a multifaceted Podcast Producer & Content Marketing Manager to bring this vision to life in the epic in-house podcast studio currently being designed by an established architecture firm located in the Basemakers HQ office in the heart of the Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles, CA. 


Role Overview:


As a Podcast Producer & Content Marketing Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the voice and direction of a groundbreaking podcast. Reporting directly to the CEO of Basemakers, who will also serve as a co-host, you will manage all aspects of podcast production from initial concept to post-production and distribution. Your creative input will not only influence the podcast's content but also enhance its presence across various media platforms. A co-owner of this podcast is also one of the most successful CPG executives in the world. This is a unique opportunity to grow with the company with a clear line of sight for director-level promotion with success. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, produce, and edit podcast episodes that engage and inform our audience.
  • Collaborate closely with co-hosts to refine topics, script episodes, and ensure a cohesive narrative.
  • Manage all technical aspects of the podcast, including sound engineering, editing, and integration of multimedia elements.
  • Design and execute a content marketing strategy that includes creating promotional materials, social media clips, and other digital content to maximize reach and audience engagement.
  • Coordinate guest appearances, including outreach, scheduling, and pre-interview preparations.
  • Analyze listener data and feedback to refine and evolve content strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance the podcast's brand identity across all platforms, ensuring consistency with the overarching goals. 
  • Also help with Basemakers content marketing including employer branding via compelling content, creating brand partner case studies & more in direct collaboration with the CEO.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in audio and video production, including filming, editing, and producing podcast or similar media projects.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with an ability to weave complex ideas into engaging narratives.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient with modern production & distribution software (Avid Pro Tools, Simplecast, etc.) and social media platforms (emphasis on YouTube) 
  • Passionate about the CPG industry and driven to uncover and share powerful insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
  • Must be technology-savvy with a deep understanding of YouTube channel growth 
  • Must be willing to commit to at least 20% of time working at in-house podcast studio as well as occasional travel for filming industry events in V-Logs
