The Olympics of work: we enable the world's most talented professionals to access elite full-time remote jobs.

About us

Crossover is the world's largest database of skilled remote talent (7 million users and counting!) We help amazing professionals all over the world prove that they're just as good as anyone in Silicon Valley—𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬. Like the Olympics, it's hard to qualify... but it's worth it! Have you got what it takes to join the 5,000+ people from 130+ countries that we've recruited for high-paying full-time remote jobs? 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒: 🧑 Reviews from people we've hired: crossover.com/people-at-crossover 💼 Current openings: crossover.com/jobs 💎 Hire someone for your company: crossover.com/hire ♟️ How the process works: crossover.com/selection-process ❓ FAQs: crossover.com/help-and-faqs ~~~ 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆: Crossover jobs are are fully compliant with LinkedIn's policies, as well as the applicable laws in every country where we advertise. Allow us to clarify some common misconceptions: 1) The reason we post so many job ads is because LinkedIn organizes all job postings by location. So, the only way to reach candidates all over the world is to post multiple ads in every city you want to hire from. Most recruiters don't bother because it's too time consuming... but we're not most recruiters. 2) We mostly recruit independent contractors, not employees, because labor laws vary so much from one country to another that it's near-impossible to recruit globally otherwise (which is why it's still uncommon even though most jobs can now be done remotely). 3) As is standard for any self-employed person, the stated pay is the entire compensation package. Because they are not employees, each contractor is responsible for handling the things that an employer would take care of e.g. taxes, equipment, vacation time, health insurance. One of the major reasons that Crossover jobs pay so much more than local jobs is to overcompensate for these costs. It's hard, but it's worth it!

We've spoken about the death of cover letters (RIP), now let's talk about the unavoidable rite of passage in job hunting: THE RESUME! (or, résumé if you're fancy) *cue ominous rumbling thunder⚡* 📄 Are resumes dead? Absolutely. When job ads are attracting thousands of applicants, and the average resume garners just 7.4 seconds of the recruiter's attention, it's clear resumes aren't really fulfilling their intended purpose. At best, they're a waste of time. At worst, they're to blame for crappy hiring decisions. It's time to rethink our approach. ⏳ A Brief History of Wasted Time Resumes haven't changed in decades... but the world has. They used to be helpful when small-town recruiters were familiar with all the schools and employers getting name-dropped by applicants. But that doesn't scale because recruiters have familiarity bias, so candidates from lesser-known places are overlooked even if they're better. That's why even industry giants like the CEO of Recruit (Glassdoor and Indeed's parent company) have called resumes obsolete. 🔬 What Science Says A century of research tells us the most accurate predictors of job performance are: 1. Work samples (29%) 2. Cognitive assessments (26%) 3. Structured interviews (26%) None of the datapoints on a typical resume are anywhere near as accurate when it comes to forecasting on-the-job success. In fact, they're no better than random selection. 🧐 The Persistence Paradox Despite their ineffectiveness, resumes cling to life in our hiring processes. Why? It's the "everyone does it this way" syndrome. We all assume they wouldn't be the status quo if they didn't work. But when 88% of resumes are immediately discarded, shouldn't we question this habit? 🎯 Cutting Through the Fluff Resumes are minefields of bias, easily manipulated, and poor indicators of actual ability. They waste time for both applicants and recruiters. Meanwhile, many AI screening tools are low quality too, focusing on the wrong datapoints (like age) and filtering out potential stars. ❓Question to you: do you believe resumes really work, or are they just a comfortable habit? 👇

Did you see Indeed 's Ghosting in Hiring report? One stat jumped out at me: 40% of job seekers say higher pay would prevent them from ghosting. No surprises there, right? But here's the thing - it's not just about higher pay. It's about knowing the pay upfront. At Crossover , we post the exact pay rate for every single job. No guessing games, no awkward negotiations. Whether you're in New York or New Delhi, if you're doing the same job, you're getting the same pay. We think this transparency leads to better matches and fewer drop-offs. After all, why waste time if the salary doesn't work for you? What do you think? If you're hiring, how do you handle salary discussions? And job seekers, how does knowing (or not knowing) the salary impact your application decisions? Let's make hiring more fair and less stressful for everyone!
