- As a Field Engineer, I always ensure that any disagreement with the drilling engineer is resolved through open dialogue where I will offer expert advice to the drilling engineer usually during pre-tour meetings, in the office or in-situ. - During an operation sometime ago, I activated my tool as per the procedure shared with the client. Some of the activation signal were observed but the main one which is pressure drop was not observed and this created some doubt for the drilling engineer. I advised that we increase the flow but he refused because he was afraid that the pop-off pressure could be exceeded. We phoned town and I was asked to increase the flow. This helped to free the restriction and the pressure drop was seen as desired.

Field workers are the teams that regulates production figures so to say. Small discrepencies can lead to a halt in any operation. It so happens that all different activities are interlinked and affects each other. Especialy when shift workers are involved. It is important to have pre shift meetings to establish team health, And to be proactive to address concerns and other issues .When looking at maintenance activities whereby field services is required effective communication must be maintained. This ussualy takes place by means of two way radios. If the relation in this particular field is contaminated, Difficult situations can arrise. It is highly recmmended to have unpacking meetings from time to time.
