* I work hard on my writing. I DO NOT want empty like button clicks. Comments, if you have them, are this writer's reward. :) *

I did not see “Home Improvement”, “Baywatch”, or “Barb Wire”. My interest is Canadians, animal warriors, and women commanding respect from an obnoxious world. I myself talk with nature, healthy and young after age 50! I have never dyed my shining brown hair. Women know we are wise and intellectual but the media impressionable public needs to smarten up.

Autobiographies share the feelings and stories of people and their professions. Authors want to be understood correctly. Sometimes storytelling is therapy for pain. Thus, Pamela Anderson had to write her way: interspersing her poetry into an unconventional book. I love her original, free flow. This is a wise, compassionate, thoughtful, superbly authored autobiography. Its quality easily earns five stars, if you are not detail oriented. My passion for provenance is largely why I have given this sensitive story three stars, with my praise recorded via these words.

Love, Pamela”, my first edition, November 2023 birthday present, marvellously balances the family, setting, and childhood the authoress comes from, with how she is now. I must think too linearly. I greatly admire how Pamela transported us directly to events she wanted to show us, without preamble. I would feel that I needed to introduce people one by one. In contrast, Pamela chose a “need to know” basis that works. She discussed what impacted her life and explained that dates are not her forté.

Years are part of the setting in context with our world. Could I relate to these timeframes? Was Mötley Crüe’s prime over when she married Tommy Lee? Pamela expressed that she loved making “Baywatch”, without reminiscences of castmates. Are they friends? Readers would enjoy a few sentences about a world famous show. Pamela mainly mentioned dogs. Please name the kitties and other beloved animals who surely comprise your island family.

Lorraine Another great one, Carolyn! I have always thought that this woman was a bimbo. After reading your review, I will have to rethink my position! Well done, Kiddo!

C. (Comment, never msg). Gosh Lorraine, it is a shame if other women cave into superficial public perception. We know better that beauty does not subtract brains. Our Canadian Pamela does more helpful, constructive, successful work for animals and nature than we know.

I recently saw on the Canadian town tour, "Still Standing" that she heard about a rescue farm having trouble and went there personally, quietly, to see what they needed. She paid to rebuild their barn. She travels, learns the needs and laws of other countries, and attends conferences to politely plead the case for animals. She is a true diplomat.

Lorraine Thank you, my friend! I certainly did not know any of this! I am quite impressed with your knowledge of Canada and Canadians! I do know of your loving interest in animals! Stay just the way you are!

C. (Comment, never msg). Thank you dear Lorraine. Stay the bright, open-minded woman you are too! May we all give women benefit of doubt, unless we learn of something we can't support. Pamela got her start in Playboy. The institution did encourage being free about sex on the premises. Ladies treated it as a stepping stone modelling job. Pamela went on to star in "Baywatch", which was apparently beloved. It would be fun to see sometime.

The gross misconception is that she made a sex tape with her husband and wanted to be shown naked in public. She did not. She gave up on the court case to remove it only because bastardly lawyers' negativity were making her ill, when she had infant children.

Apparently a safe containing personal valuables and videos of all kinds of family footage, was stolen from their home! The thief or accomplice spliced together the couple's most private moments, to make it look like all they did was copulate. If anyone's impression from Pamela came from this, her book's clarification is a good thing indeed.

Lorraine Thank you ,Carolyn. I did see Pamela in Baywatch. I thought she was good, well-spoken, and I was jealous of her ‘bathing suit’ body. I believe that I glanced at some American press on Pamela that projected her as a not very ‘good’ actress who made ‘it’ because of her body on Baywatch. I immediately decided not to read anymore. Then I saw a picture of her and Kid Rock. It was a very bad picture of both of them. Time passed and I did not ‘hear’ anymore. Pamela sort of disappeared or quite possibly I stopped watching any news as it all seemed a downer. I am quite pleased you reviewed her book. I love learning all kinds of info, but by reading your review I discovered quite a different side to Pamela. I am happy about that!
I thought that you might be Central Time, but wanted to make sure.
Thanx for that info also! Hope your New Year is beginning with much love and laughter!!

C. (Comment, never msg). Lorraine, Pamela discussed that Kid Rock wasn't who he seemed after marriage. He could not stand her communicating with the Father of her children. He fought Tommy at an awards ceremony. Tommy had a temper too, which is why Pamela left him. Bad press was derived from former husbands and the theft of private property.

Playboy modelling got her foot in the door and in the US, in time to escape an abusive boyfriend. She did the work thereafter. In free personal time, Pamela loves to garden and read a physical stack of books with animals nearby. This is our kind of lady!

Yes, Christmas and our new year are going nicely. I'll let you e-mail about our personal portions. Yes, we are loving and laughing, including today. :) Love in return, Carolyn.

Bren fall in love with the sea. What a beautiful and sensitively written review! Happy 2024 my friend! Thank you for your lovely message as well. I hope this year is a wonderful one for you. You really make me want to read this book I had heard about it, but I really did not expect some of the emotional depth that you speak of. I’m going to put it on my list.

C. (Comment, never msg). Thank you Bren, my friend for your compliments and sweet 2024 well wishes. You are welcome for those I left you. Yes, this is an enlightening book about a Canadian and woman I respect. You bet I am sensitive, especially about anyone's personal life.

I gave three stars because I like time references - ask anyone who does not date their birthday cards, Christmas cards, and photographs! Pamela wrote next to nothing about "Baywatch", which I did not see. If you don't mind, there is a lot to appreciate.

Sandra Very interesting and honest review Carolyn! :)

C. (Comment, never msg). I love helping people set the record straight, Sandra. :) It is the number one reason they write their stories.
