Every now and then(and this is every month) when I want to read something intense that delights, fascinates, scares and makes me think or cry I end up re-reading some parts of The Fever Series. I re-read favourite parts from all five books but mostly from Shadowfever and Dreamfever. And by now I know some passages from these books by heart. I'd never given much thought why Faefever is the most neglected by me (except the Druid Voice training scenes and the MacHalo scene). Well, now I know. It's the darkest book in the series.
It starts dark, gets darker and the end is horrific, fascinating(not in a good way), masterful and a HUGE fecking cliffhanger. And WTF?! Is this really necessary?
Oh well I guess it is. Because we must feel what Mac feels and what these Princes feel. All this graphic details fills me with rage but the way it was written it's a masterpiece. The book earns every single of its five stars again.
And did I mention that I hate the end? :) I had never re-readed it before so basically it's like I'm reading it for the first time. The emotions are so strong again. And it's great that I can continue with Dreamfever immediately. It was great before an year ago when I was reading this book for the first time and it's even amazing now! Otherwise I'm going to get NUTS!...more
