Ok, so I had a metal scooper from a different brand that I absolutely love. In fact, I have 2. Decided to get a 3rd one for my mom's cats, but found this one on sale for so much less so I had to try it. Oh dear... what is with the bendable handle?? When I need it to work on some stuff stuck to the sides & bottom of the litter box, I need a really strong handle. That's the whole reason why I switched from using plastic to metal. On the bright side, it hasn't broken or bent (yet). Unfortunately, I don't feel confident that it can handle the tough jobs. For now I'd rate this 3.5 but will update this review (for better or worse) if warranted.

This scoop is LARGE! And durable since it’s metal, which is what we wanted. However, the slats to sift the litter are so big, any smaller clumps (you know when they break apart) will fall through which is what we are trying to avoid. If you’re looking for something to get the main clumps out, this is for you. But do not recommend if you want the litter to be fully clump-free.
UPDATE: We tried to make it work, but it is not as durable as I assumed. When scooping, the handle bends due to the weight of the litter in the pan.
