My dogs are not jumpers or fence climbers so I got the short gate and it keeps both my small and large dog in. If you have either one, I’d recommend to get a taller option. This fence was relatively lightweight, came with ground stakes but not a mallet to push them into the earth- which is fine, just get a cheap one elsewhere. The gate opening is easy to push open and the latch seems secure for paw-scratchers who try to open the gate lol… and yet, my dogs were nervous going through the entrance because they had to hop over the small inch-high ground wire. they became fine with it after training with treats. it’s great for the price, easy to clean, and after a few months hasn’t rusted on me; even though it’s outside and gets rained on. It’s easy to move if you fold it up, but the straighter you have it the easier it is to fall over. Definitely nail the ground stakes in, or just buy two and use them zig-zagging so the wind doesn’t catch them and fall over. Them being thin and lightweight metal has its downfalls, because a dog could potentially push this over if they knock into it or something; even though mine haven’t and stay well away from it. They have over 15ft of space behind their fence so they keep a few feet behind it. Just make sure it’s secure by using the extra tools it gives you, or attach it to something secure that way it cannot fall over.

This is serving our purpose quite nicely. We are using it indoors with our dachshund puppy. I wouldn’t recommend it for a large dog as it is a little flimsy even with the reinforcements. We have it set up as a rectangle and were able to use all 4 of the B brackets (triangle shaped) in the corners top and bottom. This helps. There are only 4 A brackets (half circle shaped) and all were needed for the top of the structure. I feel if there had been enough for top and bottom, it would be a little sturdier.

It was super easy to assemble, as it comes mostly put together anyway. The size is accurate. It gives him more space to move around and play while we’re gone during the day. Not ready to be left out but I hated leaving him in a smaller kennel. Lots of space for toys.

UPDATE:
I have been using it for almost 2 weeks and decided to keep the pen. I painted the bar across the opening red with metal spray paint to help it stand out and prevent tripping. The pen was very easy to set up and the stabilizer clips help the sides feel more secure. My dog is older and doesn't jump on the sides so, the clips are plenty to keep the pen stable. If you have a more excitable or energetic dog or littles who like to climb, using the pen outside with the stabilizers and ground stakes would be a better option for you. I got this mostly for indoor use, but I find it is easy to fold and carry and not too heavy for traveling or going outside, to the park, etc.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I wanted a pen with a gate that could be used inside and outside. The weight is OK and the product is very easy to assemble. I read reviews and watched Amazon's video for this product since it is an Amazon product. I assumed the video was accurate and took it at face value over some of the reviews, but it is not. When you open the gate a bar remains across the bottom. The video shows a person walking into the pen after opening the gate without a bar, that I can see. If that isn't an issue for you, then I would recommend the product. I am still deciding whether or not to return the product based on this. I gave a lower rating for puppy training because the bar makes accessing the pen for clean up much harder.
Pros: easy to assemble, includes gate, and comes with parts to help stabilize panels for any configuration
Cons: incorrect video that shows you can walk through the gate, but it has a bar across the bottom making it difficult to walk into the pen and harder to clean up for puppy training and cleaning up after pet in the pen

She can wander freely and eat all the grass she wants while I can rest easy that she's safe and secure. Very solid but easy to move to mow lawn properly!

I got this to replace the fabric animal pen I had before, as it was starting to get really mildewed. My cat is chonky and unmotivated, so the 48" pen is great. She can wander freely and eat all the grass she wants while I can rest easy that she's safe and secure. Very solid but easy to move to mow lawn properly!

Bought this playpen to create a safe area for our 9 week old beagle puppy. It's a perfect size for him and would likely do well for most small to medium breeds while they're young. It comes with stoppers for the corners and the walls, so it doesn't drag against the floor, and it doesn't mark up the flooring. However, our pup can still move the walls if he really tries. I've got around this issue by sort of "boxing in" the playpen area with some furniture. It's also much sturdier if connected directly to a crate with the clips.

I've purchased a larger, more expensive playpen for our previous puppy and it was much more flimsy, didn't include the floor guards and the clips were poor quality. It was from a more well known brand that is sold at the big box pet store. This playpen is better quality, has stronger clips/attachments and is a better deal. However, it is deceptively heavy, so moving it room to room can be a nuisance. Overall, I am happy with this playpen and would recommend it.
