I'm paying around 32 or 33 for my warranty for 2 years my phone battery swelled up and I got thinking I have I warranty of 2 years I still have 6 months left so I contacted them and applied for another phone and it was very fast I got my gift card of $149 the next day

I bought a refurbished IPhone with the Assurion protection plan. I ended up needing it when the screen went black and never functioned again about 6 months after purchase. Filed the claim on line, got all the information to send the phone back prepaid. Then I realized I needed to keep the phone until my new one arrived. Called customer service, got great help, was told I had 30 days to return, great news. Dropped off the box with the prepaid UPS label in the morning, that afternoon I was notified of my refund and 2 hours later I had my Amazon credit. So easy! Yes, I bought the protection again for the new phone.

It literally just started and it's for 2 years. We shall see what rating I give it after 2 years or if something happens before then - whichever comes first. Only time will tell. Can't say it's easy to use, since I have yet to have to use it. BUT, the ease of knowing it's there is, well... easy. So there's that.

Got two emails in two weeks saying they ordered a part and they would send and update in “a few days”. It’s been two weeks since the first one. I’ve tried to contact them via chat and email with no response, chat hasn’t been working. Calling is hopeless as it seems they have gone down hill and everyone is needing to call them at all times of day so the wait time is outrageous! Lowered to one star until they fix this issue, then it will possibly go to 3-4 stars. Originally left a 4 star review due to past experiences, no so anymore. I’d just like them to send a gift card and be done with it, if even be willing to buy a new warranty to give them another chance as previous experience has been great.

I personally like how this works. You do not have to wait for your phone to be repaired or for the company to decide whether or not it’s worth just replacing. If something happens to the phone, even if it’s your fault because you dropped it, they will send an Amazon credit for the amount paid. Sometimes it actually works in our favor too.

This is the second phone my son has dropped and broken. Thankfully we purchased this coverage and we were able to get a new one. The price has actually dropped a lot so he was able to upgrade from an iPhone 7 to and 8 with double the storage. Last time it was the opposite, he had to pay $40 more plus new coverage. I wouldn’t purchase a phone or any tech without these guys! We have coverage for my sons phone, my Fit Bit, a nice book bag and a few other things.
I highly recommend this coverage for people who drop stuff a lot like my boy and I do or anyone who just wants some extra peace of mind for a decent price.
To file a claim I just followed the few steps online as prompted, printed a mailing label, wrapped it up, boxed it and dropped it off at UPS. We had a credit by the next morning! I thought it’d take a few days but as soon as it was on the way we got out credit.
Again…THIS IS NOT A REPAIR/REPLACEMENT WARRANTY!!! They send you an Amazon gift card credit for the price you paid for the item, there’s no money back or repairs. I personally have no problem with that but I know some people do, so be forewarned.
I do wish that we would be able to use the credit on other websites sometimes. We found the same iPhone 8 on another site for about $50 less with a 2 year warranty, not including accidents. Other than that it’s a great deal for us, it has probably saved us a thousand bucks or more over the past several years.

I had no issue to get my protection plan malfunction device resolved as everything went efficiently and smooth. My downfall was that I would have preferred to have been given a QR code instead of a label. I had to spend 6 bucks at the store to get the package in with the sent label. Because what was sent by Asurion was a preprinted label that could not be scanned by the store. I called twice to get this fixed but both associates on different days said that's the way things are done by Asurion. I am pleased with the efficiency of how fast things was processed but disappointed because I was forced to go in my pocket to ship the item from what was a free label.

My cell phone screen shattered when I dropped it. I had the asurion protection plan and they immediately issued me the purchase price of my phone so that I could purchase another one. All I had to do was call and request a shipping label to return the phone. As soon as it was returned the refund was issued to me via email
