AT LEAST +40% faster
I bought this to improve the network speed of an old Acer 1410 laptop. From about 10 to 12 feet from my router, I measured a 40%-80% improvement in Internet speed in comparison to the older built-in Intel Wi-Fi network card (see before/after speed tests in pics). Previously, I was achieving about 110 MBPS; with this USB adapter I was getting between 140-200 MBPS from the same location.PRO TIP: remember to disable your old network adapter on your computer in order to get the computer to default to using your new USB network adapter. If you don’t do this step, your computer will likely still default to your old hardware instead and you’ll notice no difference in speed (see pic)

My PC's built in wifi card is so weak that it doesn't connect to my gigabit internet hub down stairs. Ordered this little thing because of its fast 1 day delivery. Plug and play with very weak speed (0.19Mbps or something), but once its connect to internet, I updated the driver immediately via the website the manual provided. Afterwards, the test result is more than adequate (my ethernet wired speed is around 900Mbp, this is near 200Mbps). It's still very impressive considering I am one floor above and one room away from the source.
