Stable stand with thorough instructions, some assembly required, attracts fingerprints
Purchased this TV stand because it was an affordable TV stand with a centre mount, that could hold a 65" TV. The TV in the picture is a 65" Hisense 65Q7G (which is the Canadian equivalent to a 65H8G in the USA).Packaging:The TV comes disassembled into five primary parts, and all the bolts, screws and washers are separately packaged in little pouches that are very well labelled with the name, as well as the letter designation they're given in the instructions. Everything came packaged in a cardboard sleeve which provided some protection, but had taken quite a bit of abuse before arriving to me - fortunately none of the items stored inside were damaged.The packaging also comes with the needed allen key and wrench, though you will need to provide your own screwdriver to drive the bolts into the TV's VESA mount.The base has two sides, a tempered glass side and a painted glossy side. The glossy painted side had scuffs on it, so we weren't able to use the painted side up, instead of the tempered glass. The tempered glass shows dust and fingerprints really easily, so those with OCD will probably find themselves wiping the base often.There are four rubber pads provided that go beneath the base to ensure that the base sits flat. Unfortunately, they were not all the same size, so we had to use some paper underneath one of them to take out the slight wobble in the base.Assembly:Assembly was relatively straightforward, the but requires a decent amount of space to work on. The main part of the stand is held to the base by three screws, the bracket running parallel to the ground also screws in easily to the main part in your choice of three positions. The two vertically-running brackets are affixed to the back of the TV, so you'll need to put your TV face down on a clean, flat surface to attach the brackets. Bolts of different lengths and diameters are helpfully provided with the install, we ended up using the provided bolts for our Hisense TV along with a few spacers. We found that the TV looked like it leaned forward with equal amounts of spacers on the top and bottom, so we added an additional small one to the bottom. The brackets on the TV have three different hooks for you to again have your choice of height, note that depending on the size of TV you will probably need someone to help you move the TV onto the stand and onto the hooks. A screw goes in through the bottom to secure it to the actual stand.
