I am trying to find ways to reduce my physical exertion due to a health issue. This seemed like an easy solution to provide one less chore in my routine. The barrel holds a whole 1.6kg bag of food, which is great--I no longer have to store food in the closet. The only downside is that food doesn't tumble into the bowl as it's eaten. I have to pry new food out with my finger--I was hoping this would be a "set it and forget it" kind of thing. I'm hoping my cats will learn to fish the food out themselves. Also, if your cats get crumbs in the water and are picky about drinking it in that condition, there's no way to dump that without taking the whole contraption over to the sink--the water's too heavy to want to do that regularly.

Do not go for expensive brand name variations when this gets the job done so well. The water and food feeder means no spillage, no daily refilling. This is such an ingenious and inexpensive product. My cat took some time to get used to it because she had no clue that she'll have to use her paw to get her bits out lol. But when she figured it put- it became fun for her. I also got the water feeder because she kept playing with the water. The water container and bowl on top is so heavy that she cannot apply her weight and tip it over

Easy to use, works well. My cat was a bit nervous around it at first but she's fine with it now. No constant humming like you'd hear from most fountain type waterers, just an occasional glugging sound when the bowl tops up. No filters to buy. It's easy to line up with the refillable tank portion with the bowl part, even if you can't see well, like me. No spillage when removing ir replacing tank. Reassuring to always have water available in case I am delayed getting home to refill a simple water bowl from which water can quickly evaporate. Would buy again.

They are made of good plastic and durable material. However the plate is not one piece, there are two pieces joined by a screw and above you place the food or water container.

But the real issue is that the feeder doesn't have a larg hole so the food doen'st fall properly into the plate, and my cat has to use it paws to get the food or comes to get me because the plate is empty.

The water dispenser works well.

El único detalle que tengo es con el dispensador de agua, ya que se vuelve un poco complicado de lavar por dentro , pero solo es cuestión de hacerlo con un cepillo / esponja adecuado.

I was a bit aprehensive at first because I didn't know how easy it would be to clean. There's always something floating in the bowl that was either dirt or dog food at one point and those things tend to make the water yucky. Yes dogs sniff each others butts and worse which is more the reason they should have a clean source of water. I also want the best for them because they bring me happiness and love during times when I need it the most so things like having a clean water bowl seem to be the least I can do for them. The bowl itself feels good in the hand. Not too heavy, not too light. It also comes equipped with some very functional non-skid pads on the bottom to prevent the bowl from sloshing about while in use. The resevoir can hold one gallon and is made from the same material the five gallon jugs use. The cap has a spring loaded stopper that dispenses water when it's depressed which only happens once it's fastened to the bowl. Once it's released it stops the water from flowing out even when upside down. The jug fits snugly and has two stubs on each side that line up with an opening on the ring so when it's mounted, the jug slides gently into place and locks with a small twist. The channel between the bowl and where the water flows from is narrow to keep the water from pouring into the bowl and making a mess. I can carry the whole thing, with water, from the hallway to the kitchen sink, and not spill a drop. This thing is so easy to clean, it's child's play. The fountains on the other hand, it could take me a good thirty minutes to clean a fountain and I'd still find slimy spots. They're way too much maintenance for what they're designed to do and this takes me less than five.The bowl is large enough for both dogs to drink from and they drink more water now. I've purchased a lot of pet stuff over the years and a lot of it has been a waste of money because it was either too cheaply made or didn't function the way it should've. I'm happy to say that this is not one of those purchases. In fact, I've replaced all my water bowls with these. Wish I would've known about these sooner.
