Everything I could have asked for in a router.

Everything I could have asked for in a router.
This router is the end of my long journey down a rabbit hole of trying to find a solution of "adding" more storage to an Android device that I felt does not have enough free space. My router before this in terms of wireless coverage wasn't bad, and its internet speed tests were usually 'fine'. However, the issue I realize it had was when I began to set up networked storage in my home and its local file transfer speeds over Wi-Fi were abysmal. After dealing with numerous settings on that router, going through two TP-Link extenders that ultimately did not resolve the issue, I ended up just getting this router instead. And I have to say, this fully solved my issue and easily surpassed all expectations that I had. For starters, my previous Wi-Fi 6 router only managed around 30Mbps when doing a wireless-to-wireless local file transfer between two devices. Whether doing a local speed test or deploying an SMB share. This router? Easily managed between 750-850Mbps, entirely over wireless. It was such an unbelievable increase in performance that that alone makes this worth it for me.Setup is as simple as any other router can be, possibly even easier with the ability to set it up with the mobile app that guides you through the entire process if you don't want to set it up via a computer with a web browser. Giving it the same SSID and password as my prior network allowed all of my devices to reconnect to the network as if nothing happened.Wi-Fi 6, 160MHz channel support, QoS, built in SMB, VPN, Access Control, ability to set it up as an AP, IoT isolation, this router has SO many features for its price, it's insane. The mobile app is great but you do need to go into the gateway on a browser to access its full host of features. There are new features being added to the router still in the form of firmware updates, that the router is still seemingly frequently receiving. This completely solved my goal of wanting to add networked storage in my home. It's so nice to be able to transfer files between all of my devices without ever needing to physically connect them again. Transferring files completely saturates the 1GbE NIC whether wireless or wired on all of my devices, and still leaves plenty of bandwidth on the router itself to allow other devices to function normally. There's not even much to say about its internet performance, it's great, of course. If you have a gigabit internet plan, you will have nothing to complain about whether wired or wireless utilizing this router. There are no less than a combination of 15 wired/wireless devices connected to this router and none of them experiencing any issues. I am very happy with this router!

I bought this router for WIFI coverage, it is not disappointing. Considering 5,000+ sq feet to cover, I was hesitated between mesh router and wifi6 router like this one and happy I made decision to give TP-Link AX11000 a try. The signal is great in all areas of my property, even in the far corner of my basement still showing full bar. The device is smart enough to switch between 2.4G and 5G to maintain the best connection. The setup is supper easy too, at least easier than I expected. Just by following the simple instruction comes with the product and the setup wizards, It even created guest WIFI in a few steps. The only thing caught me is the build in virtual patching/intrusion prevention feature. Some of your web application might not work, in my situation is one of my smart TV stopped loading its landing page. I have to disable the cloud security feature to make the TV works again, but your situation might be different. I love the router's interface, You can find traffic reports to show which device is using how much bandwidth in real time. In QOS section, you can even prioritize the traffic. I do not know if I would ever need the QOS function as gaming is not my thing, at least it is there. Another useful feature is auto/scheduled firmware update, it keeps the router always up to date according to the schedule you select. Regarding stability, I do notice occasionally connection might drop and reestablish but I am not sure if it is due to ISP or wifi issue, at least I do not have to reboot it for past several weeks. All in all, I feel TP-Link AX11000 is a powerful, practical and reliable device suitable for large home with many wifi devices. It is worth the money especially when bought for discount in my case.

I love this Wi-Fi! Easy to setup via the download Tether app. Very good signal through house. I get 50Mbps down via my Isp provider. With their Wi-Fi I was getting 866Mbps (WiFi 5 ac), very good. With the tp-link AXE 16000 I am getting 2402Mbps (Wi-Fi 6E @ 6Ghz ax). Very very good. These speeds are measured with my Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop playing Half-Life Alyx on Steam. I had all the eye candy maxed out. The 3D enviroment looked great !!👌

I like that you can see everyone that accesses the wifi on the app. Easy to install and setup.

Only thing the app isn't the easiest to navigate to block family members or and set times. The other thing is the fact that you need to pay extra to set different times that your children can access the internet. You get only one setting on the free version.

On a bell router you can add different times for different days, especially week days and weekends. And don't need to pay extra.

I bought this router I should have access to block and allow any devices at anytime or days.

I originally had a Tplink archer c20 I got in 2018. It held up up until April 2024. My connection kept dropping randomly every 10 minutes, regardless of any setting changes I made or physical wires I replaced. I got that router for $39.99 cad so 6 years of usage at that price was really good.

I figured I'd get a wifi6 capable router which my PC is capable of using. I got this on April 30th, and had no connection drops since, it's working really well. Extremely easy setup. This router has limit features tho, so if you want parental controls or w/e, TP-Link charges for that.

I spent alot of time researching and I also pulled the trigger on a different router which was double the cost. Amazon was the only retailer to put this on sale. Came quick. Works great. I love the guest wifi feature for basement tenants. The app allows you track users and usage. Great fast product. Upgraded from a 10 year old router with a broken antenna.

Style: AX11000 Gaming, 2.5G PortVerified Purchase
I bought this router to replace my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 (AC1900) router which I had just bought in the first quarter of this year (2022). My house is 3400+ sq. ft. and I also bought the Netgear AX8 extender to reach all parts of my house. Even with all of this, the Netgear would drop connection constantly. Buffering was horrible. Constant router restarts and bouncing back and forth between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz just to get a solid connection. Many times, the 5Ghz was unusable. You would connect and just freeze. I read several reviews online regarding these issues (and the notoriously bad Netgear TS, which I experienced first hand) and decided that it was time to try another router to see if this was going to be the fix. BOY WAS IT!!!!! The TP Link router works like a dream. No disconnects. No resets. No jumping from one band to another. No changing channels, just plain and simple WiFi with no user intervention. Now I'll let you know, I have 7 Ring cameras, 3 Apple TV devices, 1 Amazon Fire stick, 3 Cell phones, 1 iPad, 8 laptops (2 Macbooks), 1 Server running Windows Server 2022 with Hyper-V hosting 3 Windows Servers, 3 Windows 10 clients and 1 CentOS client, 1 Server running Ubuntu Server 20.04, 1 NAS hosting movies and music for streaming (SMB, DLNA), 1 WiFi attached Washer and Dryer, 1 HP Printer, 1 Wifi attached double oven, 2 SONOS speakers, 2 WiFi thermostats, and 1 WiFi garage door opener. The TP Link handles all of this with no issues. I have a fiber ISP which is giving me 1 Gbps service. Netgear speed tests on this same service was never higher than 400Mbps in either direction. TP Link router is doing 900 Down and 720 up. I could not be happier with the difference in these two products. I did not re-attach the extender and TP Link is still servicing everything I have. I have tried to be in Netgear's corner, but these results do not lie. Not to mention there are 8 1Gbps ethernet ports on the back of this device which makes connecting devices directly to it no problem. I have not tried the USB port as of yet but if it performs like the rest of this router has then I'm sure that I'll have no problems.
