I used the cable to connect a MacBook computer to a TV monitor. It did the job and the signal seems good. The cable is 7.5 mm diameter and stiff if you were thinking of routing it under a carpet. This larger cable dimension may be unavoidable since signal loss & shielding become issues at this length. Also, the ends are quite long at 48 mm if you are confined for space at the I/O port.
