I was a little worried about buying this due to the negative reviews but realized they were all mostly around assembly. If you "loose" fit all the bolts and use your fingers to get them started, there is absolutely no issues putting this together (if you can't get them started by hand then you've cross threaded them so stop and attempt again). It took me about 10 minutes total. There we some complaints about the back being too hard but I didn't experience this and found it comfortable. I'm using a mesh lumbar support anyway to ensure I keep good posture as well as keep good airflow around my back. My biggest plus on this is the low profile of the armrest and that I can put myself at the correct height and the armrests will slide under my desk. For those wonder at the lowest seat level the height from the ground to top of the armrest is 26.5" and at the highest seat level, 30". Seat is very comfortable as well. Good job on this one Amazon!

Pros: Arrived a day early. Instructions are pictures, but clear and easy to understand. Decent price. Nice, soft material that's easy to clean. Lightweight and rolls easily. I'm 5'6" and it fits great in the seat, armrests and height. Top of the backrest comes just to the top of my shoulder. Good back support. Good cushioning in the seat and back with a bit of lumbar support.

Cons: not much of a tilt feature and it doesn't lock the tilt. The seat slopes down a bit too much for me, so my knees are a bit lower than I'd like. There was a slight mark on the back support, like some glue had been wiped off during manufacturing. Assembly was fine except for screwing the armrests to the seat and back. I have a wounded and weak right hand so eventually I needed help to hold tension on the parts long enough to screw the bolts into the holes. Took almost an hour, would have been much longer by myself. Really hard to see the pilot holes to get those 8 bolts in (the others were fine).

It's an okay chair... You can tell when you assemble it that it's kinda cheaply made... The armrest are really low that I have to buy armchair pads to lift my elbows up... And when it's all assembled and done, the seat tilts a little to the right which you can kinda tell while sitting... I'm warning you guys to buy a more quality office chair than this. I just hope this lasts longer than the last chair I bought. :)

I've been using Amazonbasics chairs for a few years. I've always been content with their quality: they may only last a couple of years but for the price, it's a minor upkeep to have just a solid chair. After 4 chairs, two of them had arm rests that snapped, and the other two began to flake off the fake leather material. I want to stress that the quality was acceptable considering the price.

This one seems to be different from my prior chairs, despite being the same item on Amazon. The back is about a foot shorter, but it's also hollow inside when previous chairs weren't. It also sits slightly higher on the ground. The comfort is fine but the back of the chair offers next to no support and I have zero faith in its longevity.

My issue with this chair this time is that the included screws are so soft that they stripped immediately, before I could even fully screw them in. This is using the included allen bar. Two of the hand rest holes were not aligned and don't even screw in fully, making it floppy and unstable.

I can't disassemble it to then make a return or exchange, and contacting Amazon support, they offered zero help, saying they cannot help me until they receive the item back. How can I return a fully assembled chair? There is no way to disassemble since the screws have stripped and can no longer be removed.

I will never buy one of these chairs again and will be hesitant to buy Amazonbasics anymore at all, even. I have a $150 chair that's effectively broken on assembly and Amazon will do nothing to help me.

Love this chair, it really is nice and comfy for sitting long periods and the price is right. Having said that, my cat jumped off it once and sliced it in 3 places, small tears.. but still. He jumps off of my fiancée's leather serta one all the time and hasnt ripped it yet in nearly 2 years. Would recommend for anyone wanting a functional comfy chair- if you dont have cats!

I got this chair to replace one from the same manufacturer I’d had maybe 7 years, and the padding was pretty much non-existent because I spent 10+ hours a day in it working from home. I really liked the chair I had as far as size, functions and quality, but it doesn’t seem they make it with a mesh fabric anymore. As another reviewer noted, this chair is slightly smaller both in width and back height, but it’s certainly big enough for the average person. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it took less than 30 minutes to fully assemble. The chair rolls, swivels and reclines smoothly and the more I sit, the more comfortable the seat gets – it was pretty firm to start. The faux leather is soft to the touch and looks nice. I could have spent 2 or 3 times more on a similar chair, but, as good as this one is, I don’t think I would have noticed a significant difference.
