Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

I am having issues with bluetooth dropping the connection in my car and air pods pro since I upgraded my phone to iphone 15 PM and IOS 17.0.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my main phone and I can't take the chance of having unstable IOS build on it. Any suggestions or better yet can apple just make something that works as it should for $1200 thanks!

I’m up to date on iOS 17.1.2 and still having Bluetooth issues. It’s nearly impossible to use Bluetooth in my car at this point.

Sorry, I’m having a different kind of issue.

I will lose connection for usually 3 to 5 seconds. During that time, it’s complete silence, then when it reconnects, the music that would have played during that 3 to 5 seconds kicks back in but plays at double time until it catches up to where it would be had the music been playing consistently the whole time. Then it returns to normal speed playing. Almost as if you’re forcing the song to play faster until it catches up to where it should be.

I don’t get it, and I’m getting frustrated because of it. I’m constantly listening to music in my truck and I can’t without this interruption.

This is making me regret upgrading from the iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 15 Pro Max with this annoying bluetooth connectivity issues. It happens periodically, sometimes when I connect my blue parrot Bluetooth headset or my Beats by Dre earbuds or my Apple AirPods, I hear the CALLER on the other end but they can’t hear me. So I have to restart my phone sometimes more than once for people to hear me talk back to them. I don’t know if this is a iOS issue or a device issue but I hope it gets resolved soon signed , unhappy customer.

I confirm that the problem is still present. Installed iOS 17.2 this morning and this afternoon I tried to use the AirPods (2nd generation): same issues with repeated disconnection/reconnection and jerky audio. I repeat: I can fix it momentarily by doing a forced restart of the phone (volume up, volume down and side button pressed until the Apple logo appears).... But yI can't continue like this ...

I'm two months into this. Have posted quite a few times. Had BT issues since the start with my IP15P after trading up from IP11. Was on the phone with Apple several times, logs taken, troubleshooting, IOS updates, you name it. Banging my head against the wall with this. Going nuts!

On Monday I decided to call them again, just to follow up, since I haven't heard anything from Apple, and after I did the 17.2 upgrade (which didn't help). The support person read through my case and thought it was time for a new phone. He booked an appointment for me at the Apple Store for the same night. I went. What happened there was interesting. They set-up the replacement phone and transferred only the essentials, pics, contacts, etc. They did not do NFC transfer, like was done when I purchased the phone, this time only my info, no apps, came in from stored info on icloud. Apps would need to be manually installed. Reason being, as they told me, if something was contaminated in the old phone, they did not want to transfer it to the new phone.

It's two days now and I know it works flawlessly. Somehow, the original IP15 I purchased hiccuped after the NFC transfer and never worked properly. I'm not an expert here but it all makes sense to me now. Just want to pass this along.

iPhone 13 Pro here also having issues. Also on 17.2 having audio issues with my AirPods cutting out recently. It has been driving me insane thought it was my AirPods till I discovered I was having connection issues with all things Bluetooth and have since tested using different phones/ipads on different iOS and have not been having any issues with those on different iOS.

No it didn’t fix. Regardless what you do, reboot, reconnect or set up phone as a new using iTunes . Issue with Bluetooth , disconnecting on a calls , multiple headphone brands tried, car Bluetooth system, makes no different . You can be on a call for 5 min or 30min it will disconnect . It’s absolutely ridiculous for the price you pay.

I'm having the same issues since updating to iPadOS 17.2. I was on the last version of 16 before that. I'm not using Apple headphones. They are older Philips I never had issues with. It's the same issue every time. I turn on headphone, it connects, and then it quickly disconnects and turns off the headphone. I also get weird sounds from the right channel. I've tried everything.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max yesterday and my Bluetooth drops connections to devices, my Oura Ring and iPod pros, and also can’t find new connections when I’m trying to connect things like my Bose headphones which I can’t use at all now. Haven’t tried other devices yet but so far pretty frustrating!

Thanx a million

1. Apple released the iOS 17.1.2 update, which fixed the Bluetooth issues on iPhone 15 Pro.
Update iPhone to new iOS 17.1.2
2. Unpair the iPhone from the car.
3. Remove the Bluetooth HandsFree link from your iPhone.
4. Reboot iPhone.
5. Now pair the iPhone in the car.

Sounds like you spoke to the same tech support as me.

As a result of the reset, I have spent the past 48hrs opening apps and regranting access to location, deciding on cookie sharing, re-entering passwords, redoing my FaceID which has resulted in all my banking apps needing passwords and two-factor authentication.

Very frustrated, and quite angry, not least because the only action available to me is to go to Audi and ask them to update my cars software.

I suspect that’s not the solution unless everyone on this thread is driving a 2013 Audi. If you are, I would argue it’s still Apple’s problem as they haven’t built in legacy device compatibility.

My partners iPhone 14 and my 15 Pro apparently both use Bluetooth 5.3 (A2DP) and both run 17.2.1, so the only difference is the hardware and/or firmware.
