BMW is committed to investing in people and society wherever we operate. Here, locally in Australia, we focus on helping the nation perform at its best across three key areas: Education, Art & Culture and Sport. Today, we are excited to announce our commitment with the Title Partnership of the Australian PGA Championship, the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with the tournament now being referred to as the BMW Australian PGA Championship. This partnership allows us to build on our existing relationships as the official automotive partner of the PGA of Australia, Golf Australia and WPGA Tour of Australasia. In addition to our local golf partnerships, it is exciting to see the BMW Australian PGA Championship become a part of BMW’s longstanding global portfolio of sponsorships, including the BMW Championship in the United States, BMW International Open in Germany, and BMW Ladies Championship in Korea. We are proud to continue to expand our commitment to supporting the next generation of Australian golfers, including Grace Kim and Elvis Smylie. One thing is for certain: we aspire to lead the way in sustainability and creating comprehensive sustainability solutions. This week, we welcomed Dr Juergen Guldner, General Program Manager for Hydrogen Technology for BMW Group, to provide expert insights on the development of BMWs iX5 Hydrogen Pilot fleet as well as hydrogen’s broader role in future mobility. The iX5's fuel-cell system and high-performance battery combine to generate maximum output of 295kW. Refueling takes between three to four minutes with six kilograms of gaseous hydrogen being storied in two carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic tanks, meaning drivers can achieve a range of 504 kilometres on the WLTP cycle without having to refuel. This fuel cell EV technology is a great complement to our BEV product range as it combines that EV driving feel, zero emissions and refueling like combustion engines. The arrival of these vehicles coincides with the Australian Government’s continuous efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions, including in the transport sector, as part of its long-term climate protection goals. Whilst here is Australia, Dr Guldner has spent the week meeting with our local team as well as Governments MPs to discuss Australia’s vehicular future using hydrogen fuel-cell technology. #BMWAU #THEiX5

We believe that the most valuable asset of any company is its team. This belief drives our commitment to continuously invest in training and development. To support our team, we recently introduced training focusing on “Gallup Clifton Strengths,” highlighting what makes each individual great and how we can bring out the best performance in every employee and create organic growth. Our in-house certified Gallup Global Strengths coach, Shae Lee, lead both our Talent NEXT group and HR Team through full-day “Start with Talents, Finish with Strengths” workshops. These sessions have been invaluable, allowing our associates to reflect on their personal strengths and learn how to leverage those talents in their careers, team collaborations, and personal relationships.

Community engagement is important to BMW, as we believe in fostering talent to help younger generations develop. As part of this commitment, we recently expanded our partnership with the University of Melbourne to co-design a 2024 ‘WorkHub’ student experiential program. The initiative provided 14 students with an experience to delve into our business operations and help devise recommendations on two business cases across 12 weeks working closely with our experienced Sales and Marketing teams. It was a rewarding experience for both students and BMW, allowing us to engage and learn from each other as we explored unique business cases. The final celebration took place at our head office, where the student groups shared their findings, displaying pride in their achievements and the relationships they fostered throughout the program. The event concluded with remarks from Wolfgang Buechel of BMW Group Australia and Dr Jason Brown, Academic Program Director for Experiential Learning at the University of Melbourne. We thank everyone who participated in the program and look forward to future collaborations aimed at driving innovation and creativity to make a meaningful impact in society. #BMWAU

Celebrating a new chapter in the story of the legendary BMW Art Cars. Designed by renowned artist Julie Mehretu, the 20th Art Car transforms the BMW M Hybrid V8 racecar into a dynamic work of art, carrying on the tradition of BMW Art Cars and competitive racing. After its unveiling in Paris, this latest addition to the BMW Art Car collection will take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 15-16 June. “The BMW Art Car project embodies invention, imagination, and pushing the boundaries of possibility. This car isn't just for display; it's meant to race in Le Mans. It's a performative painting, created in collaboration with motorsport and engineering teams,” explains Julie Mehretu. “The BMW Art Car isn't finished until the race is over.” The collaboration between BMW and Julie Mehretu extends beyond the Art Car, with a joint commitment to a series of PanAfrican Translocal Media Workshops for filmmakers, touring African cities in 2025 and 2026, culminating in a major exhibition at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa in Cape Town. The BMW Art Car is an integral part of the company’s global cultural commitment. For nearly five decades, BMW has partnered with artists who share the brand’s passion for mobility, design, technology, and motorsports. Julie Mehretu's vision for a racing car adds a powerful chapter to the BMW Art Cars series. #BMWAU #BMWArtCar #BMWGroupCulture
