  • The no. 94 Peugeot 9X8 (Di Resta/Duval/Vandoorne) took 11th place and the no. 93 (Vergne/Jensen/Müller) finished 12th overall at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans.

 

  • A record crowd of 329,000 fans braved poor weather conditions to attend this year’s race, which saw numerous on-track incidents and safety car periods.

 

  •  In difficult conditions, Team Peugeot TotalEnergies showed great perseverance to steer both Peugeot 9X8s to the end of the world’s greatest Endurance race.

  • Nico Müller and Paul Di Resta lined up at the start of the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans in the PEUGEOT 9X8. Mikkel Jensen and Loïc Duval were behind the wheel for two hours and have just handed over to Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne.

 

  • Both cars lost time on an overly conservative pit stop to fit wet weather tyres and a drive-through penalty.

 

  • Given the very narrow gaps between the leading cars, these racing incidents have had a very significant impact on the standings, although both Peugeot cars remain in the top 20.

  • Jean-Eric Vergne (no. 93 PEUGEOT 9X8) and Stoffel Vandoorne (no.94 PEUGEOT 9X8) ended today’s qualifying session in 16th and 21st places respectively.

 

  • In order to prepare for the race, both PEUGEOT 9X8 2024 hypercars completed the equivalent of several stints with the same tyres as those used in free practice.

 

  • There remains three free practice sessions, held between this evening and tomorrow, before the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans gets underway on Saturday at 4pm.

  • Having completed several thousand kilometres of tests, Team Peugeot TotalEnergies is delighted to unveil the 2024 PEUGEOT 9X8, which will make its competitive début at the 6 Hours of Imola (21 April), round two of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship.

 

  • In order to make the most of changes to the regulations that allow teams to deploy a more effective tyre set-up using different widths at the front (29cm) and rear (34cm), the Peugeot Sport team has adapted the aerodynamics of the PEUGEOT 9X8, whilst modifying 90% of the bodywork, which now features a rear wing.

  • The Team’s second full season gets underway in what promises to be an exciting year, with a high-class field and an eighth round added to the race calendar.

 

  • The target for the no. 93 car driven by Mikkel Jensen – Nico Müller – Jean-Eric Vergne and the no. 94 car driven by Paul Di Resta – Loïc Duval – Stoffel Vandoorne will be to draw on the lessons learned last season to make the most of the 2023 PEUGEOT 9X8, before it is replaced with the 2024 version at the following round in Imola (21 April).
