The UEFA Euro 2024 football tournament will feature advanced AI-assisted video assistant referee (VAR) technology.

This updated system, first used in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, includes a real-time location-tracking chip in the ball and multiple cameras tracking 29 points on each player’s body.

The AI processes this data to assist referees with decisions on offsides, goals, and handballs more quickly and accurately.

Despite these advancements, human referees remain crucial for interpreting player intent and making final decisions.

Stable Diffusion Model 3 is out

Stability AI has launched Stable Diffusion 3 Medium, their most advanced text-to-image AI model. It excels in photorealism, complex prompt understanding, and efficient typography.

The model is optimized for both consumer and enterprise GPUs, thanks to collaborations with NVIDIA and AMD. Available under an open non-commercial license and a Creator License for commercial use, it can be tested via API on the Stability Platform, Stable Assistant, and Stable Artisan.

Apple Developer Academy introduces AI training for all students and alumni

Apple has announced a new AI-focused curriculum for its Developer Academies, benefiting students and alumni in Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and the United States starting this fall.

This curriculum will train participants in AI technologies, Core ML, and machine learning model development. The program, part of Apple’s global Foundations initiative, aims to enhance coding, design, and professional skills, while integrating Apple's values. With support from mentors and alumni, students will utilize new tools like Xcode 16 and Swift 6 to create innovative projects.

How to use Luma AI

Luma AI offers a straightforward and innovative approach to creating both digital and 3D objects from text and video inputs. Luma AI provides the tools necessary for bringing your visions to life.

Step-by-Step Tutorial 

1. Sign Up and Log In:

   - Visit Luma AI's website

   - Click on "Sign Up" and create an account. If you already have an account, log in.

2. Create a New Project:

   - After logging in, click on "Create New Project."

   - Enter a project name and description if needed.

3. Upload Your Data:   - Click on "Upload Data."

   - Select the images or 3D scans you want to process. You can upload from your computer or use data from other sources.
