About us

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is the Roman Catholic Church for 19 counties in western and southwestern Ohio. The church is currently led by His Excellency Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop. The Province of Cincinnati also includes the Dioceses of Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Steubenville, and Toledo, each of which are led by their respective bishops. Through hundreds of parishes, schools, hospitals, agencies and institutions, the Archdiocese proclaims and follows the teachings of Christ that lead to peace, joy and the fullness of life. This local church of almost half a million Catholics, founded as a diocese in 1821, is strong in faith and rich in tradition.

  • EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Father Tom DiFolco! Father DiFolco is from Canton. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in 1983 and has ministered as a priest in St. Bartholomew, Finneytown; St. Joseph, Cincinnati; St. Martin de Porres, Lincoln Heights; St. Agnes, Bond Hill; and St. Michael Parish, Sharonville. Father DiFolco retired from active priestly ministry in 2018. In addition to parish assignments, Father DiFolco he has also been the Director of the Priestly Formation Office, and served on the Presbyteral Council and the Priests Personnel Board. In April of 2023, he became the part-time Associate Director for Leadership Development for the archdiocesan Center for Parish Vitality. Father DiFolco has a great love for the Holy Land and the Bible. In both 2022 and 2023, he served as a volunteer on archeological digs in Tel Burna, Isreal and Hippos Sussita, Isreal. Father DiFolco also has an active love of horses and occasionally offers a helping hand at a horse stable in Clermont County.

  • July 6 Jesus Is Here featured group! Damascus Worship is a musical group of Catholic praise and worship missionaries inspired by the Gospel call to evangelization. The group is passionate about bringing revival to the Catholic Church. Jesus is Here at Fountain Square will begin with Holy Hour – adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praise and worship music by Damascus Worship, a Eucharistic reflection by Father Jacob Lindle, and Benediction. Priests will be available for confession. Following Holy Hour, the festival will feature a concert by popular contemporary Christian artist Jervis Campbell.   • EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨🔦 Meet Catherine Ampfer! Catherine has served the pastoral center for five years. She began as an Executive Assistance for the Human Resource Office and is now the Parish Liaison for the Finance Office. As part of her current role, Catherine provides technical support for eCatholic Management System (formerly known as Gabriel). Catherine has been married to her husband Matt for 25 years and has two boys who attend Northern Kentucky University. The family is members of Holy Spirit Parish in Newport, KY. Matt and Catherine are adjusting to being “empty nesters” and are frequently out finding fun things to do. They enjoy trying new restaurants and listening to live music, especially local bands.   • July 6 Jesus Is Here featured speaker! Father Jacob Lindle was ordained in 2022 and is the parochial vicar at Mary, Queen of Angels Family of Parishes. This fall, Father Lindle begins graduate studies in Rome. He’ll participate in a five-year program studying Patristics.
