Found in the forest when she was young, Laura Thalassa was raised by fairies, kidnapped by werewolves, and given over to vampires as repayment for a hundred year debt. She’s been brought back to life twice, and, with a single kiss, she woke her true love from eternal sleep. She now lives happily ever after with her undead prince in a castle in the woods.

… or something like that anyway.

When not writing, Laura can be found scarfing down guacamole, hoarding chocolate for the apocalypse, or curled up on the couch with a good book.

I do intentionally try to leave the heroine's physical appearance as simple as possible. Partly, I want all readers to be able to see themselves as the main character (I could go into the whole diversity discussion and how certain minorities feel like outsiders because they don't see themselves in literature, but that's a long discussion, and best for another time)! I also think that focusing on a character's features (specifically a woman's) places more importance on her looks than her heart and head. And here in the land of steamy literature, one must leave the objectifying to the male love interests' windswept hair and rock hard abs. 😂 (Watch out for that double-standard!)

And now that I've answered your question, I realize I really have no basis to act as some sort of social right fighter ... I write morally gray enemies-to-lovers romances ... 😂 Anyway, that's the best I got! Thanks for reading!(less)
Laura Thalassa If all goes as planned, then Famine should release in spring 2020!

I'm working on The Curse that Binds (Bewitched #1.5/2.5) as we speak! It was originally slated to be a prequel novella, but it's already 70k words and I'm only halfway finished with it. Eep! It doesn't need to be read between books 1 and 2 (Bewitched See Full Answer

“I am one of billions. I am stardust gathered fleetingly into form. I will be ungathered. The stardust will go on to be other things someday and I will be free.”
Laini Taylor, Days of Blood & Starlight

“In Shoshone, there's a saying. It's a long one, and it doesn't have an English equivalent, so bear with me.

Sutummu tukummuinna. It means, I don't speak your language, and you don't speak mine. But I still understand you. I don't need to walk in your footsteps if I can see the footprints you left behind.”
Rose Christo, Why the Star Stands Still

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
Maya Angelou

“It was one of those dreams that invade the space between seconds, proving sleep has its own physics- where time shrinks and swells, lifetimes unspool in a blink, and cities burn to ash in a mere flutter of lashes.”
Laini Taylor, Days of Blood & Starlight

“She recognized the strange happiness that came from loving something without knowing why you did, that strange happiness that was sometimes so big that it felt like sadness. It was the way she felt when she looked at the stars.”
Maggie Stiefvater

Umaiya ❄️Ramblings of a Scattered Mind❄️ I'll be honest, I didn't think you'd accept :p Thank you so much! :D

I've only read one of your books but I loved it! The only reason I haven't read The Bargainer series is cause it isn't finished and I am terrible at waiting. Instead, I hope to start the Fallen World series soon.

What I'm trying to say is, you're awesome and thank you so much for writing these amazing books. ^_^

Can't wait to talk books with you!

AℳY♔Queen of Fat cats♔What a wonderful day! Thank you! I love your books!
