To be honest, if I had the option, I would have given this 3.5 stars. The only characters I was interested in were Gatsby and Nick a little less. Gatsby did have an interesting back story and such, but the majority of the book didn't really catch my attention. Also of note here is the way Fitzgerald mocks the American Dream rather decently. His prose was very good in some parts, but in most parts, it was just decent.
