The lovely pink Dahlia "Hilltop Lost Treasure," photographed in the Dahlia Garden at Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park on Long Island in New York.
Hydrangeas are popular garden shrubs with delicate heads of flowers in shades of pink, white or blue and pretty autumn colour and leaf shape. The mophead and lace-cap hydrangeas are most well-known for their ability to change colour in different soils.

I lost my Baby Sister Patrice to complications from Surgery. It still does not seem real. I had to keep checking my phone messages when I woke thinking it must have been a awful dream. But it was not. She was gone. It was so sudden and unexpected we all are struggling with the realization that My Beautiful Sister is gone. So I have picked this pink rose to honor her. Her wonderful smile, big and given freely to anyone who crossed her path. She was Beautiful incredibly intelligent and compassionate. She had a great sense of humor and I can still hear her giggle. She was so filled with light and love. I will miss her dearly.

Another of the early dahlias in the dahlia garden at Volunteer Park.
All of these dahlia shots came from a walk to the park in the late afternoon sun.
A complete contrast to today's other upload and definitely more gentle on the eye! I think they may be Erysimum or wall flowers.
This reflects my mood today. I had a wonderful day with my kindergarteners - they are learning so much and so quickly! Although I did have a poop incident last week - it's a good thing I didn't upload that day, lol...
Tulipan z przyblokowego ogródka :) Co roku sąsiedzi sadzą tam ich różne rodzaje, a ja mam potem ładny widok z balkonu ;)
I've seen it in a small garden, near the building, where I live :)

Actually I was thinking of what to call this image when my cellphone rang. I have the ring tune for the Pink Panther that plays. And so......there you go! :-))

Aphrodites Child - Rain and Tears
Cistus albidus, the grey-leaved cistus, is a shrubby species of flowering plant in the family Cistaceae, with pink to purple flowers, native to south-western Europe and western north Africa.
The first real day of Spring, and it rains. Not to be deterred, I headed to the flower store to see what was in the shop.
Thanks for viewing my photo
Pink azalea blooms. Some minimal editing / cropping. Background is a light overcast sky.
My intent was to capture the existing blooms on this lone branch, and more particularly the three flowers in the foreground that were about to bloom as well as the associated greenery.
I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted a bit more focus on the open blooms behind or the closed blooms and leaves / greenery in front, and ultimately opted for the latter as the unopened blooms represent the beauty of anticipation and patience.
