Wrest Park The present house was built in 1834–39, to designs by its owner Thomas de Grey, 2nd Earl de Grey, an amateur architect and the first president of the Royal Institute of British Architects, who was inspired by buildings he had seen on trips to Paris. Wörlitzer Park (1740-1817)
Der Wörlitzer Park wurde von Fürst Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau (1740–1817) geschaffen wurde. Der Park wurde am Wörlitzer See, einem Seitenarm der Elbe, angelegt. Er erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 112,5 Hektar. Der Park hat jährlich über eine Million Besucher.
