This is a cute top. I’m a curvy girl, so I got a XXL. I had no problems buttoning the shirt (ie, no gapping at the buttons for me. It fit fairly loosely on me, so make sure you check the size chart. Also, there is no stretch in this fabric, so keep that in mind. I like the color and the fabric is lightweight (like a chambray fabric), which makes this perfect for layering.
The buttons snap and are sturdy; I love that they are a white, milky color … which is one of the reasons I’m sad to return it because I really wanted to love this shirt.

I’m giving it three stars because there are a couple things that are off, IMO.

The nuisance, but not a deal-breaker reason: the pictures make it look like this shirt has the option of wearing it long sleeved, but can be rolled up for shorter sleeves. Sadly, when unrolled, the sleeves are more like 3/4 length (and I don’t have long arms or anything). If this were my only issue, I would have kept the shirt.

The deal-breaker reason: It needs one more button at the bottom toward the ties. When buttoned and tied (which is how I planned to wear it), there’s a huge hole about the size of a golf ball. No matter how tight or loose I tied it, that gap remained. If there had been one more button, it would have been perfect. Maybe it’s user error, but I tried several different times, with different ways of tying it and that gap remained.

I bought this shirt to wear as a layering capsule piece for my upcoming overseas trip (to wear over slip dresses and with high waisted pants), but the gap above the tie just looks weird.

If you are a knot-tying wizard or if you want to wear it unbuttoned and only tie at the bottom, maybe you can make this shirt work for you.
