Yes we were aware that the phone is refurbished. However, there was an aftermarket battery in the phone that didn’t last very long. The phone started dying and doing weird things. Took it to a repair shop and got an apple battery installed and it fixed issues we didn’t know existed. Like the screen was difficult to touch, took more effort to click on. Once the apple battery was installed, the screen worked way better! So, in addition to what we paid along with the battery plus labor fees, the phone works fine. That’s the risk you take in buying a refurbished phone.
