Some features require linking your Amazon account, and downloading the Alexa application or using a compatible Alexa device. Internet connection speeds and availability depend on your internet service provider; if your internet service provider does not provide you with the maximum supported speed, you will not experience that maximum speed. Maximum network speeds, if applicable, reflect combined supported speeds across wired and wireless clients. Maximum wireless signal rates are derived from IEEE 802.11 standard. Specifications assume wired Ethernet connection; your experienced speed may vary when connected to an eero device that is configured as a wireless extender. Coverage estimates are based on normal use conditions. Actual range and performance can vary, and maximum supported speeds may not be available to all customers, due to factors such as local regulations (including power limits), network configuration, interference, connected devices, device usage, building materials, and obstructions. Specifications are based on use of a Wi-Fi 6 or later generation client device that supports 160 MHz. For more information about eero performance, visit support.eero.com. Combining eero Pro 6E devices with older generation eero devices on the same network may result in reduced performance across the network.

I had a 2018 ASUS5300 plus 2 AiMesh AC1900 to cover a 7200 square foot house. Everything worked extremely well, and I even had run NETGEAR Powerline 2000 for LAN access for televisions. My download max on Xfinity was 800 MPS.However, after Christmas, everything started acting up. Our son received a few WiFi hungry devices, as did I which caused connectivity issues. Namely we added 2 PS5, another TV, gaming PC, and other electronic devices (Control 4, Sonos, security system, 7 flatscreens with Amazon firestick, pool controller, etc).I had the internet upgraded to 1.2 GPS, which necessitated an update to our only 5 year old WiFi 4+ system. I also upgraded our VOIP modem to handle higher speed.I was on the fence between WiFi 7 and 6e. Not many devices really take advantage of WiFi 7, it is not standardized as of yet, and the reviews of the current WiFi 7 models are not overwhelmingly positive.I was told that this was a solid brand, and saw a lot of positive reviews.I needed at least 4 satellites and only 3 are bundled which made me pay $850 plus with the $250 additional unit. I may still need another 2 units, due to the size, construction and layout of a 3 level house.Opening the boxes, I saw that there were 3 ports : one for power and 2 LAN connections. In a way, that is positive but I may need a LAN switch for additional hardware. Simplicity is great and the compact size of these transmitters is more appealing visually than my ASUS Spacestation gaming router with 8 antennae.Setup was as easy as could be, being prompted by the eero app. As each device is added, I’d get a status of whether the location had enough signal from the base. That took some additional time on my end, since I went to 4 locations before I got signal for the second node.Adding the third node was easy since it was upstairs and was almost line of sight. The fourth node was going to be a challenge since it was going to be placed in the basement. There is where a lot of WiFi usage goes, a home radiology workstation, a PS5, and 2 televisions apart from laptops, a gaming PC, gaming notebook etc.I tried adding an Ethernet cable for the Powerline adapter but the system did not take, shutting the 4 node off.I called technical support, and the person was very helpful and helped me resolve the issue, despite my frustration. The hub of control is the Eero App, which shows a status of the nodes, the download and upload status, what devices are connected and other information. There is an optional but unnecessary eero plus membership for $100/year that gives VPN, Parental controls and antivirus attacks.I did wish this came in other colors such as Black or dark gray.Overall, I’ve been pleased with it. It is likely I will need one or two more satellites to get coverage by the pool on one area, the hot tub in another, and the outdoor kitchen. For now, I have at least 8000 square feet of coverage.

After trying and testing two other options, the NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-band Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System and the TP-Link Deco AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System, I can confidently say that the Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi router is in a league of its own.

The eero Pro outperformed both the NETGEAR Nighthawk and the TP-Link Deco in several key areas. One of its most impressive features is its seamless and flawless connectivity. Every device I have connects to the eero Pro without any issues. In contrast, the TP-Link Deco had compatibility issues, especially with Apple products. I found myself constantly rebooting my devices just to get them to connect to the router.

Another standout feature of the eero Pro is its blazing-fast Wi-Fi speeds. Once I connected the eero Pro, everything changed for the better. The Wi-Fi around my house is now lightning-fast, and I can stream, game, and video conference without any lag or buffering.

In terms of performance, the NETGEAR Nighthawk was disappointing. It was terribly slow, and most of my devices ended up with poor performance and bad connectivity. The TP-Link Deco also fell short in terms of speed and performance.

The eero Pro also impressed me with its ease of setup and management. The eero app makes it easy to set up and manage your Wi-Fi network from anywhere, and the system automatically updates to ensure that you always have the latest features and security updates.

While the eero Pro isn't completely free of disconnects and occasional network hiccups, it's by far the best solution I've come across. I was pleasantly surprised to find an affordable, high-tech solution that actually delivers on its promises.

If you're in the market for a reliable and powerful Wi-Fi router, I highly recommend giving the Amazon eero Pro 6E Mesh Wi-Fi Router a try. With its seamless connectivity, blazing-fast speeds, and easy setup and management, it's the best Wi-Fi router I've ever used.

Ive been using the Linksys velop mesh system for a couple years now and it was driving me crazy how inconsistent its signals were. Constant drops, and the app was garbage. Finally decided to try these out. Holy crap what a difference. Using inly 2 nodes in my 3 story townhouse my devices are getting between 250-500mbs. No drops so far and super consistent signals. The app is also light years easier to use than the Velop. Time is the true test but so far so good!

I have been in the market for a decent Wi-Fi 6 mesh router for under $600 for more than one year and realized that release of the 6E is around the corner. So far I have evaluated multiple Wi-Fi 6 routers and I have faced at least one non-compromising issue with all these.

Netgear Orbi RBK753S (Costco):
-- Not reliable connectivity. Would lose connections or the router suddenly goes into a frozen state frequently. Tried with another unit too and faced the same issue. Netgear support was horrible. Also, it didn't have the support for parental controls.
ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 (Amazon):
-- This is the best router among all of them I have tested so far. I have been using the ASUS family of routers all my life. They are reliable and long life.
-- I had to return this because all my IoT devices which use 2.4 GHz often disconnect and g into a bad state. I had to frequently reset them to fix them.
TP-Link Deco X90 (Amazon):
-- Decent router but had to return these as they would suddenly freeze and had to restart them at least once in 2 days.
Reyee RG-R6 (Amazon):
-- Not bad router for the price but had to return them as they would freeze frequently and had to hard restart them. Sometimes, it takes more than 15 to 20 mins for them to restart.

I was excited about Eero Pro Wi-Fi 6E and pre-ordered them and so far they are really good and found no issues except the few temporary glitches to the clients.

Pros:
-- Set up was really easy and fastest among all these routers.
-- Nice app with intuitive design. Easy to use.
-- Elaborated parental controls (subscription is needed and currently I am under the 30 days eval period), security, add blocker, etc.
-- Might subscribe for Eero Secure+ Which comes with several other apps like 1Password, Encrypt.me for which I currently pay separately.
-- Fast speeds and reliable connectivity so far.
-- Future-proofed With 6E and realized that my wife's Google Pixel 6 Pro is connected to the 6 GHz band and has speeds touching 1 Gbps.

Cons:
-- Have to pay for security and parental controls where some of the routers like ASUS come built-in.
-- I had to restart some of my devices like Apple TV, and a couple of Windows PCs after switching to this router. They were using a 2.4 GHz band even though they support 5 GHz. But after the restart, they have been working just fine.

So far this router is a keeper and I'll update this review for any changes as I continue to use it.
