Product was delivered upside down. Waited the suggested time of 6 hours for things to settle in the compressor; actually waited overnight. Plugged everything in, set temp, and was at set temperature within 15-20 minutes. Freezer does get cold enough to make ice. Baskets are a nice touch.
The app is very difficult to get set up. As one other reviewer mentioned, the trick is to go into your app settings and set the QZSmart app to discover nearby devices. Once this is done, everything is pretty much automatic. But it took me coming to Amazon and reading the review to understand what needed to occur.
Plugged it into my Goal Zero Yeti 400 12 volt plug. Goal Zero display showed between 33-40 watts out to the fridge while the compressor was running. When the compressor stopped, wattage output went down to 1 watt which is to power the fridge display.
Have not used the fridge when travelling.
Instructions say this unit manufactured by Alpicool Electric Appliance in China so comments about this unit looking very much like the Alpicool model make sense.
Overall initial assessment is that this is a solid product and does what it says.
5 year warranty on the compressor, which is stated in the Amazon description. is a nice offering should something fail. However, the manual states that the warranty is only 12 months on the unit. I hope if the compressor fails that I do not have to defend the Amazon description compared to the manual. Time will tell.

Great features - questionable app

The app is the negative for this unit. I had to enter my 2.4gHZ wi-fi router password to connect the app to the cooler. It took several attempts to connect the app to the cooler. I immediately changed my routers password because this is the first app to ever ask for my router's password. Generally i,f my phone is connected to a 2.4gHZ wi-fi router, apps does not require my wifi router password. I tried my phones hotspot wifi and that did not work. Also, 5.0gHZ wifi will not work with the app.

In the end, the app really was not needed to control the unit. Perhaps telling you the refrigerators temperature instead of looking at the unit is the only advantage.

The manual cooler controls set the power to ECO or MAX, provide different temps on each side of the cooler, and a battery protection setting.

THE COOLER HAS GREAT FEATURES SO I KEPT THE COOLER.
1. The dual zones can be independently controlled at different temperature.

2.Both zones can be used as a freezer.

3. Each zone has a removable basket.
So you can prep your food and cool your food in your refrigerator and freezer. Carry an empty cooler to your vehicle instead of a heavier loaded cooler. Then insert your food baskets.

4. Each cooler door can be reversed to open in a different direction.

5. Each cooler door has a pressure click lock to ensure closure.

6, The cooler door gasket is adequate but not great. Wish there a larger gasket that over lapped a gasket track.

7. Two different cooler zones sizes is great for different cooling needs.

8. The Economy setting vs Max setting helps with the battery utilization. I do see a 4 degree temp shift on Economy setting after a 4 hrs.

9. Power source - I have a 330w lithium portable battery and a 100w solar panel for off grid power. Cooler to battery and battery to solar panel. I can also run the cooler in my car connected to the lithium battery and the battery connected to my car's 12V port. When the car engine is off, the cooler electric is provided by the lithium battery.

10. Weight - I normally carry a bear proof roto seal cooler. I don't see much weight difference between the same sized roto seal cooler and this cooler with a compressor. I have not been in extreme hot weather for days to tell how well the cooler's insulation will maintain the cooler temperature and the battery draw required.

Missing screws

Update: I was contacted by customer service and they were very willing to resolve my issue as quickly as possible. I received compensation for the hardware purchase and for the inconvenience caused. I've owned other Bodega coolers in the past. I'm sure my experience this time is atypical. Bodega is still my cooler of choice.

I bought this cooler for a road trip. The unit was packaged well. However, I noticed after removing it from the packaging, that the screws that hold the compressor cover were all missing. Very disappointing. It doesn’t seem like the unit was returned. Everything else was in like-new condition. I’d didn’t have the time to start a return before leaving for our trip. So I went to the hardware store to purchase the small screws and machine bolts needed to secure the cover properly. Everything seems to be working fine. Fridge is quiet and works well keeping drinks and lunch items nice and cool. Looks like Bodega missed a quality assurance step during manufacturing.

The fridge/freezer combo is very well made, noise is absolutely minimal and it gets cold very fast (even on 12volt). Love the locking lids. The freezer side is very small though, almost useless unfortunately, but luckily the large side can also be used as a freezer. 5 stars so far, but beware, the app works, but it's very hard to get working (the instructions do help). Once you get WiFi connected, Bluetooth is automatically working for camping convenience. I'll update after my first overlanding trip. Works well in combination with EcoFlow systems.

It's snowing 25cm here in Vancouver so actual camping trip won't happen any time soon. the parcel comes in overnight, feels very solid, classy color and design( my last one is pink/blue and ugly). Tested with wall plug and found out that this little unit is quiet and cold, working just like it should. Feels really solid too. A must have for camping, fishing and hunting. Haven't tried the wifi control yet, likely won't be using that but it's always good to have. AAAAA+ recommended for the price!

田舎でスーパーが遠いのとキャンプ用に買いました。
2Lのペットボトルが縦でも横でも入るので、飲み物を大量に買って冷やすのにも向いていています。音は冷やすときは少ししますが、安定した状態になると非常に静かです。

水抜きも付いているので氷を入れての運用もしやすく、入れ物上面にもカップなどを置いておけるので便利です重さも1人でも運べる重さで、アイス等を買っても家で冷やせたり、野菜は夏の暑さで傷んだりしないので良かったと思います。

Just received it so cannot comment on durability yet but it did cool fast. The app connection was very hard to set. Manual and app say to press the reset button (+ and - for 3 sec says one, 5 sec says the other but nothing happens). Auto-connect didn't work either. App said to turn bluetooth on which it was... In the end I had to go to the app settings and turn on Nearby devices authorization to make app find the fridge (it never asked for that authorization).
