    This is an excellent portable drive, though the cable that comes with it is a little short. Even using it on top of my desk with my Surface Pro the tablet the cable is a bit short and the drive doesn't sit flat. That said, it's fast and works flawlessly and I highly recommend it.

    So I have a gaming laptop that only has 500 gb of memory and when said and done with some other basic programs I am left with 223 gb. So playing games I would have to pick and choose which games I wanted to play. Then also having to delete and redownload certain games to keep up. So I bought this SSD and it has been wonderful. I downloaded almost my entire steam library except a couple games I no longer play and it still has 2.3 terabytes left of storage. I can play any game off of my steam library. It came with 3.6 Terabytes not the full 4 as advertised but the SSD probably needs that 400 gbs of space for running. All around I can literally play any game off it with no problems. One thing to note it takes like a hair longer to download anything on to it. It has to reserve space on the ssd which only slightly increases download time. Also if I can play games on it and heavy ones at that the read and write speeds are definitely as stated. Overall a must buy.

    I purchased this drive to use with my MSI stealth laptop. The laptop has a port capable of the highest speed ratings of this ssd device. The performance was excellent. I keep my laptop plugged in to my TV and it never moves. So, this ssd is meant to be plugged in at all times. I place the computer in sleep mode when not in use. After several hours of sleep I wake the computer to find this ssd drive no longer working. A reboot says the device attached to the USB port has malfunctioned. Only by unplugging and then plugging it back in will it work again. I used the Crucial software and updated the drives firmware. Same issue. I contacted Crucial support and it is a joke. I'm very sure they hardly comprehend what I said the problem was and started hunting to blame my computer the cable, everything except the drive. The crucial software can be used to contact support and said it will include your system report. However, support contracts me to tell them all about my setup. Then what good is the software? It should be noted that a smaller drive from SanDisk works just fine in the same setup. I am returning the drive. Sorry Crucial. You have lost a life long customer. I'll not be purchasing another of your products ever again.

    I bought my second one of these a few months ago; It's very fast -- make sure you use a thunderbolt connection or USB c or 4 to get the most benefits out of it. I sued it as a redundant back up because it's so fast it takes the process down to minutes rather than hours. Do yourself a favor, get one and try it out. and it's so small it barely takes up any space at all.

    This drive is extremely fast. I had to transfer 178gb of data from a different SSD whose speed is rated at 800mbps read and write. It successfully completed the transfer in a shade under 7 minutes. The computer used is a brand new Apple MacBook Air M3. It’s small in physical size at about a credit card cut in half, it comes with a thick, high quality USB C to USB C cable that appears to be built to withstand the test of time. I am impressed and I believe that you will be too!

    Ho un Mac Pro con 1 TB di HD interno che uso per suonare. Le librerie dei vari plugin musicali hanno ben presto esaurito la memoria fissa e mi sono risolto a prendere un SSD. Dietro consiglio di un amico avevo preso in passato un SSD sempre della Crucial, il Crucial P5 1 TB CT1000P5SSD8 SSD Interno-Fino A 3400 MB/s, 3D NAND, NVMe, Nero con Case esterno Nimaso. Un disastro totale. Non so perché ma ogni cinque minuti si auto disconnetteva dal Mac facendomi perdere i progetti che stavo suonando… un disastro. Ho preso quindi quest’altro modello più recente ed è perfetto! Vero, mettendo le librerie musicali su SSD avrete forse una impercettibile latenza quando suonate ma non è un gran problema e va benissimo così. Almeno non si disconnette mai e fa perfettamente il suo lavoro. Peraltro è anche molto piccolo leggero e poco ingombrante. Lo consiglio, sul mio Mac Book Pro del 2020 funziona alla grande.

    Ho aggiunto questo piccolissimo ssd da 4tb per archiviare i giochi, l'ho acquistato con il suo adattatore a usb 3.0, la console l'ha subito riconosciuto e configurato, devo ammettere che il costo elevato frena, ma la necessità di spazio per i giochi e l'idea di portarmelo dietro per le future consolle con usb 3.2 l'ha fatta da padrone, potevo prendere il 9 pro, ma tolto il dente tolto il dolore. Sappiamo tutti quanto costa un ssd da 1tb della nota marca e ci stanno 5 o 6 giochi moderni 120/300gb quindi ho fatto due conti e al costo di 2 ssd da 1tb ora ne ho 4 quindi "conviene", oggi ho trasferito dal hd interno 2 giochi e ho letto una velocità di trasferimento da SSd interno al Crucial Pro 10 di 2.2/2.3 GBs usb 3.0 direi che è andato oltre le aspettative e a giudicare dalle prove dei concorrenti non c'è gara mi sa che posso lanciare i giochi direttamente dal dispositivo senza doverli trasferire GG
