I bought this hard drive for a two-week trip from New York to Washington State and Canada. Every day I copied the SD cards from my cameras onto the drive. Also the videos from my car dashcam. When I got home and wanted to write the data back to my NAS, the drive was suddenly no longer accessible. Not via Windows, Linux or Apple Mac. Because the data was incredibly important to me, I hired a data recovery company to recover the data. According to the estimate, it would cost $3300 :-o Crucial says they won't pay for the data recovery, but I can get a new drive. ha ha. never again Crucial, under any circumstances! Today I got a call from the data recovery company saying they can't recover the data, the damage to the drive is too severe. thanks Crucial, everything is gone and lost! :-(
