    Bought these for our day at Typhoon Lagoon. They kept both our phones dry the entire time at the water park. My only complaints are (1) making calls while the is in the case is not great. When my brother took his phone out to take a call, the inside of the case became foggy when he put his phone back in. Second (2), both sides of the case are clear so everyone can see that you are carrying money or credit cards. However, neither of those issues would prevent me from using the cases again or recommending them.

    Bought these for a trip to Costa Rica in rainy season. Took them swimming, rafting, in pouring rain, ziplining, rappelling in a waterfall, and fording rain-swollen river. Completely water-tight, as advertised. Closure was easy to use. Phone touchscreen worked fine through the plastic, even when wet (though I did not have occasion to try it when completely submerged). Photos taken through plastic looked fine. Lanyard and associated buckles seemed strong enough. There was plenty of room inside for my Pixel 3 and an auxiliary power pack. I agree with pro-tip I found on other reviews: put camera into pouch with the top of the camera down, to allow better access to buttons, and more distance between camera lens and lanyard. Overall, a really good buy. I'd recommend it highly!

    Purchased the 4-pack on 11-08-2023 for $13.59. ($16.99 - $3.40/Lightning Deal)

    This is the smaller of this type of watertight phone pouch. There is a larger one that is wider with room for additional small items---keys, car remote, etc.---but this pouch is limited to just a phone and some flat items like credit cards and paper money.

    I have a phone with a diagonal screen size of 6.8 inches. It wears a robust, 'military grade' case (Poetic Revolution Series). The dimensions with the case are 7 1/8” L x 3 1/2" W x 5/8" D, so quite a bit bulkier than the naked phone. I need to work it in the pouch because the fit is tight. It barely fits the pouch, BARELY.

    This pouch DOES NOT STRETCH, lengthwise or widthwise or thickness-wise. Consider the above dimensions of my phone to be the absolute maximum without overly stressing the material and seams.

    If your phone is naked or has a thin case, it should be fine.

    I don't use this, or think of it, as a SECURE, WATERPROOF means of carrying my phone. Basically, it's a vinyl bag that's glued onto a clasp connected to a neck strap. Vinyl tears, plastic/polymer cracks, and stuff happens.

    I'll use this if it's 'close to the vest' and only if it's always in-sight. Don't be the unfortunate soul (fool?) who reaches for the phone and passport/$$$/CC to find that the pouch is gone, gone, gone.

    As to the watertightness, 'trust, but verify.' If your phone is waterproof with an IP68 rating, I would use this as an extra layer of protection.

    If your phone is NOT waterproof, I would use this very carefully and check frequently for water ingress. I will NOT take this snorkeling. Definitely NO scuba diving.

    BTW, many people attribute 'trust, but verify' to Ronald Reagan, but that's wrong. It actually is an old Russian proverb. Reagan learned of it prior to a meeting with the former Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev. He liked it, then started using it and popularized it in the U.S.A.

    And the phone's touchscreen does work through the pouch...at least on land. Obviously, there is some loss to the sensitivity.

    Is this pouch useful? Yes, it is a convenient item to have that protects your phone from casual water, and, by using the neck strap, it frees both hands to hold more important things in life...like the foot-long meatball sandwich with bell peppers, olives, and extra pepperoncini.

    As far as your phone, be aware that just because it has an IP68 rating, that doesn't mean you can go snorkeling or scuba diving with it. The testing to receive that rating requires the phone to be submerged (more like immersed) in water at a minimum depth of one meter for 30 minutes with NO failure. Unless the manufacturer specifies that the phone was certified at a greater depth, assume that it was only at one meter.

    Furthermore, the tests are conducted under CONTROLLED conditions. What does that mean? The phone is immersed in STILL WATER with ZERO current movements and/or pressure changes. Hardly real life!

    What happens when you do a belly flop into the pool? Your belly gets slapped from the impact with water. That's a major pressure change. So what happens when you jump into the pool with phone in-hand or in your pocket?

    What happens when you dive to a depth of 10 meters or more? Higher pressure exerted on your phone's waterproof seals. Higher pressure that your phone seals weren't tested for. And seals degrade over time, too.

    Additionally, the tests were conducted in fresh water, not salt water. Salt water is much more caustic on metal. Doesn't affect me, you may retort, because my phone is glass and titanium. Did you forget about the USB-C/Lightning port? Stylus? Mic jack?

    Bottom line, your waterproof phone is waterproof from accidental drops in the spa. It's waterproof from falling out of your pocket into the toilet bowl. And it's waterproof for making calls in torrential rain. It ain't waterproof from water sports!

    As for this pouch, it has its use, but for something that is truly WATERPROOF, I would only trust a HARD CASE from a reputable brand.

This was my first time using something like this so I was a little apprehensive about taking my phone underwater with it but, after the first submersion I noticed no leaking and my phone was bone dry.     I bought two of these for my boyfriend and I to use on our most recent cruise to the ABC islands in the Southern Carribean. I used mine primarily to take photos and videos under water while snorkeling, and it worked pretty well. The size of the case fit my phone quite well, also. The air-tight sealing mechanism provided enough protection for my phone and the lanyard added great stability when using it in the water. The case did not in anyway affect the quality or clarity of the photos and videos I took while on my vacation, but they all did come out a little blurry because of the sunlight causing focusing issues. I will say that in order to actually use my phone with this case, I would have to resurface from the water in order to start/stop recording videos as it wouldn’t recognize any inputs I tried while under water. But for the price, peace of mind, and ease of use, this was perfect!
