This case is awesome. The black color matches the back of the phone exactly so it looks like a part of the phone when you use the camera. I can clean the lenses once and they stay clean and protected. It feels plenty solid. Hard rubber, a little slippery. I'm going to put something on the back so it doesn't slide around as easily.It was impossible to open. I had to sand the sliding cover a bit. If you need to do that, take the case off. Gently pull the top of the case outwards and pop the cover out. Get some very fine sandpaper and wrap it around something like a credit card so it will be hard like a file. You can see the notches in the side that mate with little bumps in the case. Lightly sand around the notch, just a microscopic amount. Use trial and error until it's just easy enough to open. You don't want to go to far.There's little steel balls embedded into the bottom of the cover, like little furniture feet and the balls ride on the case. But they don't spin. I'm sure it does help make the sliding action smoother but they definitely don't spin. As long as the cover is in the case I don't think they can can come out.I think it will be a good case once you get used to it. Perfect for photographers because the S22 really does have an amazing camera. I read that even though the glass lens is hard to scratch, there's an anti reflective nano coating that's easier to scratch. It reduces reflection, glare, and the halo effect at night. So maybe this case isn't so dumb after all. No real camera manufacturer would even dream of selling a camera without a lens cap. And honestly this phone takes much better night shots than any compact camera from back in the day.I made a perfect cutout for the flashlight. With the case on and the cover closed, turn on the flashlight. You'll be able to see it through the black plastic. Use a marker to mark the center of the light. Use a pick to make a small hole to use as a centering hole for a drill bit. Personally I went with a 7/32“ bit. Put the cover on some scrap wood. Drill from the top. Scrape any bits of plastic from the bottom. Clean the bottom with isopropyl alcohol. Put a piece of tape over the bottom. Fill the hole with one drop of a two part epoxy. One drop should create a perfect dome shape. Let it dry. Go to the phones settings, search for "side key" and set the double tap action to flashlight. Now you can whip out the flashlight without even unlocking the screen or opening the cover! SUPER handy.Notes: 1. I used a small round diamond file on the inside of the hole. It's not necessary but would help the epoxy stick. 2. The ball bearings allow enough clearance for the tape so it doesn't rub so it's fine to leave the tape on. 4. You could put a drop on the scrap wood to judge drying time. The epoxy dome actually seems to focus the light a bit! It seems just a tad brighter. Obviously less light is coming out overall but it does seem brighter in the center. And since the epoxy is dome shaped there is still a very dim spill of light. The photo doesn't show that very well. The photos were taken exactly two feet away from my door in a pitch black room. It definitely changes from a floodlight to a more narrow beam just like the photos show but in actual use it's not that bad.The flashlight is definitely brighter now. Across my house at night I can definitely see it. I'm not saying you're going to bring ships in from sea with it but it is a visible difference. I downloaded a lux light meter app to my Samsung tablet. I can see the light meter inside the tablets screen and my modification makes it go from 230 lux to 670! I know it's a very small difference but man... feels good lol. Straight to five stars for this case!
