I kinda freaked out after I ordered this international phone, then I read a review at the very top that says it doesn't work with Metro in the US. Well, it does. The problem is I was trying to make it work myself at first. I definitely didn't feel like going up to the Metro store.

After struggling with trying to get the service on myself, I finally called Metro and told them I'm already a customer and just want to activate this new phone. All she did was ask for the IMEI number, I paid $20 for activation fee and it was that simple! Oh yeah, I put my old Sim card into this new phone. So after putting the old Sim card in, I called Metro and there was no problem getting it to work on this phone.

The 4G LTE works great (I didn't want 5G). The phone calls sound crystal clear and I get texts and everything just fine.

So don't worry if you read reviews that international doesn't work for US, because it did for me which was a major relief. Hopefully it works for you too!

Doesn't work on T-mobile or Metro networks

Please beware!

Product description says this phone is compatible with GSM networks in the US and specifically lists T-Mobile and Metro (among others) as compatible. But it does not work with these carriers in the US. I'm told that because it's an international phone it's not using the same network spectrum as these US carriers do. So things like phone calls don't work, although texts do work since they use a different part of the spectrum than calls do on the T-Mobile/Metro network (A carrier tech rep told me this).

So if you want this phone for international use it's probably fine. But it is not fully functioning on all GSM networks in the US.

Bought this phone and send to Jamaica for my mom's mother's day and she puts her flow simcard and immediately it picks up and work. Was able to speak to her same time on mother's day. She's so in love with it too, I had to share my review. Not all reviews you are to believe as I see one that said never to buy as their sim from Jamaica don't work in it. Happy I tried for myself and 2 people now very pleased.

The only issue that really bugs me is that not all apps work on this phone. The most important being the LibreLink blood meter which for diabetic like me, is pretty important! Found out after the purchase that Samsung does not support the app on this model phone which, had I know before hand, I would not have purchased it.
