We bought these cameras to go around our house. The connection is great as long as your wifi is strong. Image quality is so so. Cannot see very well if area is shaded and after 20 feet it’s hard to see even with zooming in. Sound is amazing you can hear everything but the volume to speak through the camera isn’t high.
Set up for the cameras and for the camera mounts was very simple and not at all time consuming. Night vision is so-so and having a light near the camera but not pointed at the camera helps. You can go on the app to control the cameras to change the sensitivity of the camera and specific locations in camera view. Very good value for the money spent.

Doesn't record most of the time. Someone will be right in front of the camera dropping off a package and it won't record at all. Then sometimes it will record as somebody is leaving dropping off a package but won't even record them stepping on to the porch and setting the package down, only will record after they're leaving. Half the time it will not record at all. How is there so many good reviews when this thing doesn't even record most of the time?
The clips that it does record aren't even in order so it's extremely confusing. Live view only works for a couple seconds and you have to keep clicking to watch again. And you can hardly watch live view when you want to because it takes forever to load. I'll try to use live view to keep an eye on my dog while he's going to the bathroom and my dog will have already went outside, peed, and come back in before the live view even loads to let me watch it. I'm so mad I spent so much on cameras that don't even record. Packages were stolen so many times and the camera didn't record at all.
Live view is super delayed, it'll show a person arriving in my yard even though they already left, that's how delayed it is.
Seriously, how can they make something that works this badly?

I do like the cameras, the picture quality is good, the zoom is not as good.
I had a raccoon run across the driveway and the camera picked it up halfway across the driveway. Recording starts late.
The only challenge with the camera is ‘arming’ it. You can set a schedule to save battery life, but the schedule is for all cameras, not individually.
Meaning you can’t replace your ring camera subscription, because you can’t leave only one camera on all the time. They all schedule on and off together.and you don’t want to leave them “armed” all the time as the battery life will be impacted.
They also recommended that you only record short clips. What fun is having part of the person or animal captured?
Yes you can individually arm a camera, but I won’t be doing that on a daily basis.
