I have the Arlo pro 2’s around my house. When one fell while I was changing the battery (completely my fault) I found these for a great price. I like the motion-sensor light as well as camera and I really like the wider view. I haven’t had them long, but if they continue to meet or exceed the pro 2’s, I’ll be very happy.

After researching home security cameras I was torn between the Blink cameras and Google. Then I ran across the Arlo cameras. After reading the reviews and going back and forth I decided to go with the Arlo cameras. I did purchase the Arlo base so I could connect the cameras directly to the base and have a flash drive for backup. This prevents me from having to subscribe to a plan. Setup was fast and easy. It did however take a couple of days to figure out how to stop tons of alerts. We have chickens and dogs and the cameras were going off like crazy. I had to contact support for help and they were great. Support gave me step by step instructions on how to disable the alerts and only get alerts that we wanted (vehicles and people). I highly recommend the Arlo Essential Spotlight Cameras, plus you’ll be saving a lot on your pocket book and still be getting that high quality security that your looking for!

This camera works great most of the time. Sometimes it doesn’t pick up motion no matter the size. I drove my truck by it and it didn’t record but when I got back home it recorded the same spot I drove by previously. Battery life dies off fast when cold. It went from 87% down to 18% overnight on a cold snap. I bought the solar panel and haven’t had any issues with battery since. Overall I’d definitely buy another but would add a solar panel with it.

Ordered these cameras from Amazon and two sets of solar panels to keep them charged. When looking at them on their sight my biggest concern was that the battery was removable and the same as the battery in my existing Arlo cameras. Amazons ad showed the cameras being removed, so I ordered them along with the solar panels. Upon receipt of this product I quickly realized the batteries were not removable and the solar panels did not work with this particular style of Arlo cameras. That same day I repackaged them in the same box they were all shipped in and returned them them via the UPS store. Because several different items with several different bar or QRC codes were in the same box as they were shipped to me the person at the UPS store insisted on taking them all out. She applied the QRC code to the respective items and the cameras were in two boxes one with one camera and one with 4 cameras. She put both of those boxes in to the original box that they had been shipped in and applied the bar code to that box. Within hours I received credit for the items ( brackets and solar
Panels) that the QRC code was applied and a few days later received a credit for the one camera that came in its (Arlo) box by itself. I did not receive a credit for the other four cameras that were in their original (Arlo) box. I contacted Amazon and they show the order/return was still pending. This was weeks ago and I still see that it is still pending. I’m beginning to think that this item may have been taken from the original Amazon box that both (Arlo) boxes were in and stolen somewhere down the line or it was misplaced by return employees and not processed properly. All I know is I returned 4 cameras and never got reimbursed for them and it has been too long. I have witnesses as to what transpired at the UPS store when they left my hands and have the UPS receipt. I don’t know what transpired after that but I have my suspicions. A little help from Amazon would be appreciated. I’m tired of waiting.

Mounter camera above my door after neighbors/management in my complex started banging on my door at 3am. Obviously asleep, I would rely on this camera to help me identify who was outside. Only about 20% of the motion detection captures recorded who was knocking (they did, in fact, face criminal punishment. Plus to Arlo). However, because I am missing 80% of the footage because Arlo doesn't detect all motion even within activity zones, I’m absolutely clueless as to who may have been messing with my door and damaging the outside of my property. Arlo video quality is superb, but camera dies frequently after full charge with no warning. Large gaps of video go missed even with memory card and cloud storage. I’ll be sticking with Wyze.

We purchased them in June of 2022 thinking they would be a great alternative. Well…they keep changing our plan and what we need for them to continue to work. Now we are told we have to pay an additional $299.99 to get all the software on the cameras updated so they will work. Right now we still pay our monthly plan for the “camera recordings & services”, but our cameras don’t work. We can’t click on them and see what’s happening live. Very disappointing. The cameras are not cheap, plus the monthly service fees, and now an additional $299.99 for updated software or we can’t use them. Not very happy with Arlo right now.

We do not recommend using these cameras.

Cameras arrived in secure packaging. Condition of exterior casing on all Cameras look to be in good shape, no scratches, gouging or marks. Two of the Cameras were easy to setup and sync with my arlo account. One camera however is giving issues. It took a long time to activate and once activated it does not record activity as the others do. It also won't hold a charge, even with the solar panel I have installed with it. I really believe it will have to be returned for new equipment. The other working camera's do well in well lit environment. Low light quality isn't the best, even with the spotlight camera.
