I forgot that I bought an extended warranty when I purchase a Motorola cell phone. The phone was a dud, but the warranty that I forgot I bought was great. I already stopped using the phone but called anyway. I spoke with the rep and told him the situation and why I had to replace the phone.
The next thing I knew he asked if I wanted a check refund or a credit on my Amazon account. WoW. I got a free shipping label and within hours of dropping the phone off I was told to click on a link to get my credit.

I was sold a cell phone with a non-operational battery that would barely charge. I purchased an Asurion plan just in case something like this happened. The plan I purchased stated that they would cover the following: "Battery Replacement: This Plan will provide one (1) replacement of an imbedded or rechargeable battery. The battery will qualify for replacement only if it fails to accept or hold a charge and failure occurs during the term of the Plan." My battery failed within three weeks of purchase, and the Asurion plan I purchased was supposed to cover my purchase for 24 months. When I submitted a claim to Asurion with full documentation (photos, receipts, etc.), they said they the following: "We reviewed your NO SUPPORTING MANUFACTURER CELL PHONE claim. As a result, we're unable to approve your claim." No other explanation. I checked Reddit, and a lot of people think Asurion is a scam. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ASURION PLANS OR REFURBISHED CELL PHONES FROM AMAZON. I lost about $100 bucks on this venture that I may not be able to get back, and I don't even have a functional cell phone right now.

My son's cellphone stopped charging last week. Luckily, I had purchased the 2 yr protection Plan. In less than a week, I was able to file the claim. Receive the gift card and already purchased the new phone and have it here already! Just in time for us to leave on vacation.

I have not had occasion to make a claim on this smartphone insurance policy so have no reason to doubt its integrity. Unfortunately, the smartphone it is covering DOES have integrity issues. As a vision-impaired customer whose lack of depth perception makes it difficult to aim/connect with small keys on the cell phone keyboard, I depend on wider keys that are present (SHOULD BE PRESENT) when the phone is rotated into landscape orientation for composition of text messages and emails. The Lively "Jitterbug 3" has a DESIGN FLAW that prevents J3 from change to landscape keyboard & content when rotated (stays portrait-size small) Hours spent on phone (with conscientious Lively customer service reps) and in person (at Best Buy with retail sales rep) proved our attempts to "fix" the malfunctioning Text Message rotation issue on my just-purchased phone to be an undisclosed, UNFIXABLE model-wide Jitterbug 3 DESIGN FLAW. Highly disappointing! A real Bummer! I expected better of Lively and its commitment to Seniors.
